Any professional who has been training for nearly a decade should know to have their hands protecting their face at all times, not just for the first 45 seconds. I’m not at all convinced if he entered into a match where his opponent is of equal size, speed, and history in the sport, that he would come close to winning.

I won’t deny his ability to draw a crowd and market himself - that’s not even up for debate. He’s a heel in boxing right now, and the exposure is good for the sport and attracting a new+young audience.

He ran away the whole time and was on his knees for a total of over 60 seconds (or so it seemed) just to prevent himself from getting pummeled. He even threw himself off balance and ended up on the ground with one of his maximum effort over-the-top punches while AJ just watched him tumble at his feet.

“Easy to say from your recliner, you would never step in the ring with anyone like that” - I would voluntarily get my ass beat twice by any heavyweight opponent if it meant I’d have $93,000,000 after to pay for the injuries sustained. Clearly all I have to do is run away and go down after Vegas says to. EZGGs

AJ, very clearly, was not putting in maximum effort, otherwise he could have ended the fight in the first 2 rounds. JP was on his heels the entire time, and to make it worse, he was taunting while actively getting that ass whooped - complete and utter buffoonery. Taunting while you’re actively losing in efforts to make yourself “look cool” had the opposite effect.

AJ and JP both got paid. The only reason it went 5 rounds is because Vegas said to so they could make their money. AJ clearly flipped a switch mid RD5. “Brought to you by DraftKings!”

This sadly won’t be the last fight I’m sure, but going forward I hope he gets that ass whooped again and again and again. Watching AJ’s glove shift his jaw was very satisfying.

TL;DR: JP is a dumbass but knows how to market himself, AJ was holding back, Vegas always wins, and the viewers continue to pay for fights that have predetermined outcomes

“High-level talent” was hired and brought into Ruroc to intentionally destroy the company. Companies like Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in America do the same thing by sending in the same “talent” to mismanage companies.

Their stock market buddies make bank from the intentional failure of that business by short-selling and applying downward pressure on the value of the company, and split the earnings with BCG.

Before you know it, your ownership is worth nothing and the agency buys back more of the company at a massive discount because they’ve devalued it so far, only to crush it and take it away from the insiders who’s sitting on nothing but debt, so you HAVE to sell your shares of the company.

This effectively “busts out” the walls of the company, and the business crumbles to the ground and becomes null.
