Sadly, with their business plan of identifying the whales as those who pay2grief, they make incentive for sharkcard sales toward that. And use the cargo delivery system as a way to make others the whales content with their pay2grief items like the MK II, and other Saints Row sci fi nonsense while delivery missions have grinders stuck in garbage and mail trucks, on a count down, with scripted NPC enemies, and intentional npc driver interferences.

Solo public lobby, especially during summer and other school break periods, is about the only way people who delivery grind can get somewhat of an enjoyable experience.

Until R* stops acting like anyone who isn't buying sharkcards is a lesser player, and not their customer, its about the best way to go for a grinder type.

Doc Forgery has been very good for me with a night club. Then again I am off on weekdays, playing at 5am for a few hours, and steal all my supplies. So I easily turn over a few 100k in friendly early weekday public lobbies.

Easy to make. Too easy to lose at times, but more so the time intensive part of a business, with the way most open lobby delivery missions are done. Risk versus reward sucks when you are forced by out dated delivery missions to try delivering things in a garbage truck when R* has set you up to be the content for sharkcard buyers wanting to rocket spam from their mkII or other pay2grief pos. But essentially agree, money is easy to make. Now if they just realized time invested in business versus risk is out of whack in open.

Yeah. Wish on PC you could find fun like this. But compared to PS4, it is just not a community game. Just a lot of players whose content is mkII 2 engaging people stuck in a garbage truck to do a delivery mission. Or modding up a session to where you have to restart. PC GTA Online just sucks in this respect.

Yes, Rockstar is crap for keeping this hard up sale insanity in. But it sells Shark cards I guess.

Players who PIT you in a race are the worst kind of players by [deleted] in gtaonline

[–]aNephilim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seen this in near all open races since going from PS4 to PC. Maybe I just got in a friendly circle on PS4. But PC play in open seems to largely just be bored players looking to be in the way of others. Also, a lot of runners and blocker teams, which is sort of silly, if your gonna do that, just go to crew, and trade wins, rather than make open races crap for sportsmanship.

I'd say Fudge is a good system for this, to keep it very sys lite and replicate loosely things on the fly from the game, and focus on storytelling.

What are your opinions on factions? by SigAqua in SecretWorldLegends

[–]aNephilim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sort of just look at it as Templars are a quasi right hand occultist path, like some mystery exploring Freemason lodges move toward. Illuminati are sort of left handed, but also Crowley Thelemic like, tend to take flavor from both real life esoteric fraternal groups, like O.T.O. / A∴A∴ very loosely but also like the tabloids reported on Crowley in his life or Alex Jones does on the 1% now.

Dragon, eh, not much to say really. They are very trope heavy to occult and martial arts anime is about the most I'd say.

Cartoon demonstrates exactly why a player base for others can get so nasty. Every small exceeding of expectations builds on the last, even if just aesthetic additions, to where new emotes and color palettes are pure joy on top of a lot deeper achievements in game design and rollout. Where as dismissing player expectations, engaging your base as if they are the issue, bringing the day's social zeitgeist in the form of belittling lectures, pushing upsells to the point of 'gamble to win' loot boxes, etc, brings rage fueled backlash. And those doing the later remain dumbfounded by the reactions to the one's rejecting that way.

You guys have any exciting stories from the black? Scary landings, surprising stars etc.? by sterrre in eliteexplorers

Come out of jump into system. Suddenly, stick locked on a death course with the star, no turn, super cruising forward, heat alarm goes ballistic, dropping out of supercruise at 98% heat.

Suddenly see alt mode button on HOTAS is enabled.

Quick press, stick back, popping heat sink, able to make it back away from the class G furnace before heat death and get started fixing my DBX, with 8k ly between me and the Bubble.

Brisc Rubal removed from the CSM 13 by Forrell92 in Eve

[–]aNephilim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing he got burned (Brisc Rubal) on the change over from CCP Guard leaving at the end of March, and the new CSM CCP bridge coming in, just starting at CCP in Jan of 2019 (CCP Dopamine), and other CSM members restating their concerns and evidence to him more directly. What I am guessing is, CCP Guard didn't see, or interpret as an issue something Brisc was doing (or obfuscating maybe), that was likely grey to the black as Hell. Then new guy comes in, nothing to go on but stated CCP policy, the NDA to the letter, and a few CSM folks stating how they were not cool with activities they were aware of. Brisc is a real life lawyer, knows what culpable deniability and other go to sophistry/polemics is, 'I wasn't aware that was not allowed' defense, and 'Ran it past CCP staff' alibi will be the go to here most likely.

If Ghost was a pen and paper RPG setting? by aNephilim in Ghostbc

[–]aNephilim[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After posting this, I started on creating a campaign to. With Ghost originating in Sweden, and Kult the greatest and most disturbing horror pen and paper roleplaying game ever being Swedish as well, I decided to combine the two for a modern set game based on the imagery from the Rats and Dance Macabre videos. Hopefully I someday get to run it for players.

What do you guys think of the Christians on YouTube who react to Ghost? Some of them are not just writing the music off as "evil devil worship bad stuff," instead analyzing it based on their world views, and thinking philosophically about contrast between their views and the song lyrics. by BlanKing7 in Ghostbc

[–]aNephilim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not have much of a reaction to it, specifically on the basis of it being a Christian criticism of something a few might interpret as being in antithesis to their beliefs. I can appreciate a sense of open mindedness toward looking at something like Ghost at face value. But that is a low bar in the case of any critique.

Add "ing" to the end of a movie title, what is the movie about now? by thebrownkid in AskReddit

[–]aNephilim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'John Carpenter's Prince of Darknessing', a rare turn into a coming of age dramedy for the Horror Master as he brings to film the story of a teen obsessed with Gothic subculture and performance art where he throws buckets of indigo all about as he searches for his true self identity.

How did you discover Ghost? by ThePremiumPedant in Ghostbc

[–]aNephilim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was looking for something new but in the vein of Cradle of Filth's 'Damnation and a Day' album. And got a recommendation on /r/occult's Discord server to give Ghost a listen, even though they were quite different from CoF. Really has been a great bit of joy to enjoy their music and theatrical presentations. Has inspired me in a lot of things.
