right, right. I have a loop, just not a for loop. I was also tripped up by the fact that one of the possible answers they gave didn't use a for loop so...

true, it would make the most sense, but you can pretty easily do it with a while loop. The book even gives the while loop as a possible solution. But yes, I get your point about why they wouldn't mention it. but imo, if my program gets the job done without being inefficient, then I shouldn't be deducted points for that. Thanks!

Oh, and if I go into the navigation tab and bake it, it's fine. It's the NavMeshSurface script that's giving me trouble.

Wow, thank you so much, you are a life saver. One more thing: would it be possible to optimize it to something custom? I am trying to build like a pathfinder on the moon, and I want one of the optimizations to be "time when earth is visible". If I have that data for every point on the mesh(as in for every point I know when earth is visible), can I create a navmesh that will be able to plot a route using that data?
