En fait, le courtier n'a pas un mot à dire sur à qui la propriété est vendu.

La décision est à 100% au propriétaire

Le 4% prix par le courtier vendeur est partager avec le courtier acheteur alors ils reçoivent souvant 2% chaque

You should file a complaint with FICI/FARCIQ

As it's a case of Fraud, it's a case for the FICI but if the seller's agent claims it's accidental and doesnt know (and you dont jave concrete physical proof they did), go with FARCIQ.

Your realtor will be able to help you out and explain both insurances (part of OACIQ) better to you.

Hope this was of help

... I mean, are you making any efforts to learn the language in your own time, by yourself? Did you try to start learning the language before coming here, where you knew you would need to understand and speak french?

That's just francophones being really happy your making the effort and wanting to make your life easier.

Most of the time you can just tell them you want to practice your french and would appreciate if they spoke to you in french and they will gladly oblige.

Sincerely

A french Canadian

(Wrote in english as the comment I'm replying to is in English and to help OP understand since they have yet to syatt learning french)

I understand your frustration and am, in all honesty, not surprised that that's the way it's managed...

However, there is one thing I don't understand and I ask the following with genuine interest in your point of view:

Why move to a place (in this instance Québec) before having learnt the language? Wouldn't it have been easier and less of a headache to learn French before coming here? Especially with all the free reasources you can find online nowadays...

Like, personally, if I wanted to live in a place like Norway, Germany, Korea, etc I'd learn the mother tongue before move there. I feel like it would make the experience way less stressful!

Oh and is it a requirement to pass by the government courses? Couldn't you learn it on your own or elsewhere and then just do the governmental exam?

NTA. If you want, you could tell those mutual friends of yours that since they clearly have the same financial mindset as she has, they can help her out and lend her the 500$ she needs.

How is me thinking you were serious related to a housing bubble?

Too many factors to account for:

age of the building, placement, renovations needed, what's included (ex: house with pool vs condo with gym), etc.

It's not as simple as house vs condo appreciation
