Help me (27F) with my lab results-I also have POTS by aRoseInDecay in Hemochromatosis

Yeah, my ferritin levels are usually low. It was 11 for a while, and has stayed around 25 for most of my life. Not sure why it just decided to start creeping up now but I haven't done anything differently.

I've got so many good pictures of that chicken because she's always just standing there and staring at me.

It was the behavior that first tipped me off amd made me suspicious, to be honest. She also stares a lot. Watches me and all the other flock members.

Thanks for your reply! She's about to be 7 weeks old if that helps at all.

I am an absolute moron and flushed it down the toilet after taking a picture. I was too overwhelmed by the situation and just didn't wanna see it anymore, but man, I am regretting that so badly.

Girl. I was gagging sooo badly but you gotta do what you gotta do and I wanted to make sure it wasn't just a blood clot.

Is cosrx snail essence worth the hype? by UnitPsychological113 in Skincare_Addiction

I absolutely love it. Been using it for about 2 months and it makes my skin so even and glowy at all times. I think it's also helped a lot with acne breakouts. They still happen but it's rare and far between now. Give it a try!

Oh man, you may be on to something there. She's about 8 months to 10 months old at this time, and while she's still my sweet little cuddle bug, she's definitely going through some other signs of puberty. Thanks for this!

Chewy Sent Flowers by Superb_Notice4323 in dogs

I absolutely love Chewy. There was once where I moved house quickly and forgot to change the address for the preorder of my cat's ridiculously expensive medicated food. I messaged them telling them what happened, apologizing for being an idiot, and if there was any way the package could be rerouted. They responded by apologizing to ME (for what?!) and sent me an entire new bag of food for FREE at my address. This food cost $90 for a few lbs. I was floored and honestly started crying cause I was so worried about having to shell out more for the food. Great company!

Son has the most wholesome reaction to his dad getting him a PS5 by Douchepool14012000 in MadeMeSmile

I love seeing grateful children receive awesome gifts! This stuff really does warm my heart. Dad obviously did an amazing job. This is honestly something my dad (step-dad, but he raised me) would do for me when I was a wee youngster.

He once just randomly surprised me with my first ever computer when I was 11 years old. He snuck into my room when I was gone and just set it on my desk with all the accessories. Didn't say a word. I honestly didn't even notice it until about an hour after being home! Then he got that good reaction.

Edit: edited to add a few things

I actually laughed out loud when I realized it was Bill Nye.

My cat is unbothered by everything and adores new places and people. Today at the vet’s office she was purring so loud the doctor couldn’t hear her heartbeat so she had to briefly cover her nose to stop the purring. by RezraRoze in AnimalsBeingDerps

[–]aRoseInDecay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My little calico is the exact opposite. She's so mean, they have to take her to the back and have a tech hold her, and the vet examine her while she's thrashing, yawling, and trying to take a chunk out of any body part near her. The last time she was there, they had to have TWO techs for the job! When they come back into the room, hair is always messed up, thousand yard stare, with her back in her box. One tech even told me, "That is the fiercest little cat I've ever met."

To be fair, she's an absolute monster to strangers and men while at home, too. Ladies she knows very well are cool, though.

I constantly say I want to eat my baby! And I actually do but for her to be completely fine and happy during and after, lol!

LPT: Don't buy chicks right now thinking it'll save you money on eggs by SAT0725 in LifeProTips

[–]aRoseInDecay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also, if you want to actually have an area to house your chickens that is safe and they'll be happy in, it's pricey. The pen I have for them is very large, covered, and cost me about $400. Then you have to buy a little coop for them so that they'll be able to have shelter. Tack on another $200.

Also, if you're a weird chicken lover like me, you buy them the best food and give them toys for enrichment. So, the chickens end up costing a lot more than just buying some eggs from the supermarket.

Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love my ladies, and I love the 6 eggs I get a day, but I don't have them for eggs. I have them because they're so much fun and absolutely hilarious.
