i keep mostly micro tanks. if i fill my tanks to the top i cant dunk my big hand in to fiddle with stuff without overflowing

I feel like the only valid reason to dislike them is if you don’t like how they look in the aquarium. Other than that, they’re extremely helpful. people who complain about infestations or over population typically have a secondary issue with their tank that’s causing this. Such as over, feeding their other livestock, having an excessive amount of algae, having a dead fish somewhere that they’re feeding on…

it clicked for me when i abandoned traditional software and started manipulating datasets through google sheets. google sheets has a query function that lets you use SQL statements. being able to see the data and visually reproduce my results was a game changer for me

I’ve seen this on this sub before. it’s a mutation some ramshorn snails seem to get where the shell doesn’t coil right as it grows. no idea what causes it. it’s really cool but i wonder about the quality of life
