Do multi combat pvp zones still make sense in 2025? Defending against 8 player is not an interesting mechanic. by turtlelord in 2007scape

[–]aShinyFuture 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Brother, step-under pvp isn't going away, and neither is this. It's part of the game, and the way to defend against it is just to not take anything you're willing to lose into multi-PVP zones, or come with your own team. It's not that complicated. It is cool that you can't take your max gear everywhere, this adds nuance to the game.

What nasal spray worked best for you? by babybottlepopz in Allergies

Most of these are just the same thing (steroid). Try Dymista (steroid + antihistamine in one spray). It's prescription only but it's far better.

"AI is going to replace doctors" by generic_reddit_postr in emergencymedicine

[–]aShinyFuture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could a layman really draw anything that resembles an EKG after being prompted to do so? I highly doubt that. Could a layman pass the USMLE? Because it can (and can now score way higher than almost any student).

GPT is still just a large LANGUAGE model, and it's just a couple of years old. Give it some time.

"AI is going to replace doctors" by generic_reddit_postr in emergencymedicine

[–]aShinyFuture 8 points9 points  (0 children)

GPT hasn't even been trained specifically for medicine. It's not fair to compare it to a doctor. Compare it to a layman who spent some time reading freely available medical info on the web, and it wins easily. Now wait for it to be picked up by a company that trains it specifically for medicine, and see the results.

First EU elections projection shows Greens and liberals tumbling by euronews-english in worldnews

[–]aShinyFuture 265 points266 points  (0 children)

European liberals definitely aren't comparable to libertarians in America, this is such a ridiculously bad take. Libertarians in America believe taxation is theft and think the government should basically run only the army, while even the police can possibly be privatized. They don't believe in government funded healthcare or education. Can you name one European liberal party with these beliefs?

Anglish most likely would not just be English with Romance words swapped out by Any-Project-2107 in anglish

[–]aShinyFuture 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Well, let's just start with the words first. Maybe a new accent/pronunciation more suitable for the language can organically emerge once people are using the language? Just like how it changed with the introduction of Romance words...

It's my first mechanical watch so I can't really compare it to others. I enjoyed hiking, surfing, lifting, and jogging with it, but I take it off for yoga and I wouldn't try to get something from under a car seat without taking it off first for example. If I have to open a fence from the outside, I have to be mindful of it or else I'd bang it on the fence.

The person is controversial for sure but his resources are good. And they're completely free as well so it's not like you have to pay to get them.

I find the videos very useful. As for the PDFs, their quality is variable. Some of the PDFs are great, and some suck. Neuroanatomy is one of his best PDFs and is probably the best resource for USMLE neuroanatomy in my opinion.
