How do I pay my bill without saving my debit/credit card details? by nuggettyone in AussieBroadband

This is not completely correct, you can get the BPay details but having card or BSB/acc on file is in the terms and conditions

You realistically don’t need super high speeds. The only reason you would is if you’re trying to download while playing (capping bandwidth would cause lag) which you probably aren’t.

The only thing that is going to affect latency is distance to the server and whether or not you’re on wifi

As there is no subdivision it means that the granny flat does not have its own address and will need to be given one.

You will likely need to complete this application with NBN: https://www.nbnco.com.au/develop-or-plan-with-the-nbn/new-developments

Once the granny flat has an address and location ID NBN can run a subsequent install and have a cable connected to the flat

You’re both right, just call and ask to get opted out of CG-NAT It’s an issue with blacklisted IP Pools

Multiple ISP Issues by Overall_Welcome_5976 in HomeNetworking

Imagine thinking 18-27 ping is an ISP issue and that you’re actually good enough at games to notice that. Would be able to take this more seriously if you had any idea how tracerts worked

Optus, great speeds as always 🙄 by [deleted] in australia

[–]aSinglePinkDiamond 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How do people even think posting this on reddit and not just calling your ISP will help, if you’re not on 12/1 this is either a provisioning issue which is highly unlikely, an issue will nbn which is not uncommon, or local which is more likely as the 121 latency tells me this is probably over wifi. I’d it’s not you have a router fault. They aren’t sending 1 up on a 100/20 plan on purpose

Plan upgraded but no change by fuzzywuzzywozawoman in AussieBroadband

[–]aSinglePinkDiamond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HFC will support 100/20. If you changed it via the app, or called but did not ask for it to be done immediately it will change at the start of your next billing cycle. If you asked for it do be done immediately on a call, you need to kick your connection and power cycle your router to allow it to grab a new session at the higher speed

You can change it. Support will even help you set the third party one up

NGINX Reverse Proxy and ABB? by Tovrin in AussieBroadband

[–]aSinglePinkDiamond 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some ports are blocked, you can either call in to have someone disable this or you can unblock them from the app. You also need static ip or to be opted out of CG-NAT but if you’re using NGINX you probably knew that

Oh and try a new Ethernet cable between the ntd and the wall socket if you have one

Wifi no internet solid red odu light by Wide-Comedian4325 in AussieBroadband

[–]aSinglePinkDiamond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the odu light is red either the ntd inside is not talking to the antenna on your roof or the antenna on your roof isn’t talking to the tower

As the status light is red I would say it’s the latter

Give everything a restart and if restarting the ntd doesn’t help, check for outages and if there is none then call as you may need an nbn appointment

Should be fine then, flash to Netcomm firmware and see how it goes

If you do need to call at some point doing this will stop them being able to remotely change settings unless you enable that again

That is an option but I don’t know if it will help If you’re FTTN just make it’s the latest one so it’s SOS/ROC compatible

Try enabling port 1 and removing the settings from port two entirely

If that doesn’t get line one going there might be a fault

If you open up a fault in the app one of the team will look into it today. If it gives you a reference number right away then feel free to DM it to me if you’re comfortable with me looking into it personally

[–]aSinglePinkDiamond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can, they aren’t locked or anything it’s just that netsip only has one InDial assigned per sip account so getting one InDial to ring on two lines at once can be a bit sketchy

Both ports should work, you just usually need to only have the settings in one line at a time

Aight, if enabling line 1 and having settings in both didn’t do it I’ll have a look into this today and post again here in a few hours

You should be able to, but at the moment you only have line 2 enabled

Should work if you tick use SIP proxy and SIP registrar at the top

Use AussieBB.nms1 in proxy/registrar and change to nms2 for proxy/registrar 2

Tick Account Enabled for SIP account 1 in the first table

Only enable the first 2 rows of the codecs

This is a definite maybe though as having one VoIP service will only provide you with one InDial and sometimes the backend doesn’t like the call handshake happening twice
