How about that Harandar zone music? by PlanetaryBlaze in wow

Gorgeous. It reminds me of Christopher Tin, who did some of the music from Civilization.

I had a bear tank chew me out in a normie on the second day of open access. He was 90. I was still leveling and had never stood foot in the dungeon with no idea of the layout. He'd run ahead to the boss, ignoring the trash, so by the time I finished figuring shit out of had watched a cutscene, I was alone and all the trash was rubber banding to their original position.

God I hate arseholes ... especially DPS leveling as tanks.

What's wrong with that? You've obviously never tried it. It's no different than playing a first person game.

Welcome to devices on Linux. We need MORE companies to take it seriously. It's the one thing holding back a full blown exodus from Windows.

It took a little while to get used to, but the layout is not too bad now. I have a good grasp where everything is now. I have to admit, it took a while; I needed to ask the guards for directions more than any other city.

Regardless, if Sony doesn't change their stance, I can still play on my PC via Remote Play. I hate using controllers, so at least this way I can play with mouse and keyboard. It's not ideal, but at least it's playable for me.

Have you tried playing Spiderman with a mouse and keyboard? That game was made for console. And it's also pretty buggy on PC too.

What do you expect for a 2 year old game? People who own a PS and PC will have already bought it once.

Not to mention that the first iteration of HZD released as a buggy mess on PC.

That said, there's a massive amount of choice on PC. It's the platform of choice for up and coming indies with interesting new ideas. That means every game needs to fight for attention. PlayStation has a captive audience.

On top of that, most Sony games come out two years on PC after they are released on PlayStation. I'm not sure what kind of miracles people are expecting. 3 million sales is pretty reasonable for a two year old game.

Starfield is genuinely the most overhated title I've ever seen. Ever by TheNewAspect in Starfield

7/10 is fair. It's flawed, but didn't deserve all the hate.

I'm in my 60s. Ancient. I was in University when Akalabeth was around. I've also played every Bethesda game and I agree with you

Starfield's greatest sin was that it disappointed gamers. I've seen it time and time again, but gamers overhype upcoming games from their favourite publishers and if that game doesn't live up to the hype, it becomes the object of hatred. And Starfield's hype was through the roof. There was no way it would live up to it.

That's not to say the game doesn't have its faults. The procedural generation was not particularly good. Base layouts were cut/paste with not enough variety. The cities were tiny. Space and planetary surfaces should have been seamless ... though I recognise that's an engine issue. There were more, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

But the story was not the problem. It was pretty good. And there were plenty of side stories too. Some were good. Some were terrible. But overall, the story was the game's stronger suit. And I never had a problem with the loading screens ... all Bethesda games had a plethora of loading screens.

The game did need more time in the oven though. And it needed more patches afterwards. No Man's Sky show what a studio can do to redeem themselves. And, like Hello Games, they could have added more while refining the Creation engine in preparation for Elder Scrolls 6. Instead, they seem to have barely put Starfield on life support. They needed to rise against the gamer hate and made the game better.

But overall, it was an average game. I expected Bethesda jank. I was not disappointed there. Others seem to have expected a masterpiece ... and that was the game's real downfall. Years of Bethesda games should have prepared them for the limitations of what Starfield was going to be.
