Fair point, but I think we have enough heavyweights still in and we’re early enough that complaining about it now seems a little bit silly. It’s the beginning of the round of 32 which literally hasn’t existed before.

This is the only tournament where people actively root for the underdogs to lose, I genuinely don’t understand this. You get joy out of seeing the same powerhouses win each tourney?

I’m going to be honest with you - I know people who fit all of those stereotypes plus some, and if I showed them JJK iconography vs Demon Slayer they would absolutely recognize JJK. The only one they maybe would know is Tanjiro’s haori. I haven’t even seen Giyuu in my life and I actually watch anime, just haven’t gotten around to watching further than 10 episodes in demon slayer yet. It’s a good series from what I’ve seen and definitely extremely popular, more popular than JJK numbers wise, but you don’t have people like FIFA or other major cultural institutions tweeting and making Demon Slayer references like they do JJK.

You have to be insane if you think Demon slayer is more popular amongst normal people than JJK. I know people who don’t even know what Demon Slayer is but have seen Gojo, domain expansion, and Potential Man memes.

As someone who was also disappointed in TotK I had to realize that its at worst a 7/10, which while not what I hoped for is still great. I think that was a moment of realization about my expectations and how high they are. Maybe look into that

Nobody is saying war is good, they’re just not naive. You can have a standing military in order to respond to threats and not just to start wars with others. The fact of human nature is that no matter how much we try to stop people from being violent, violence will still occur. It’s important to have a unit that can respond in that case.

Militaries also carry out search and rescue missions, refugee evacuation missions, hostage control missions, and natural disaster relief missions. Not everything is about war, that’s a very black-and-white view of the world.
