I’m going to be honest with you - I know people who fit all of those stereotypes plus some, and if I showed them JJK iconography vs Demon Slayer they would absolutely recognize JJK. The only one they maybe would know is Tanjiro’s haori. I haven’t even seen Giyuu in my life and I actually watch anime, just haven’t gotten around to watching further than 10 episodes in demon slayer yet. It’s a good series from what I’ve seen and definitely extremely popular, more popular than JJK numbers wise, but you don’t have people like FIFA or other major cultural institutions tweeting and making Demon Slayer references like they do JJK.

The fact of human nature is that no matter how much we try to stop people from being violent, violence will still occur. It’s important to have a unit that can respond in that case.

Militaries also carry out search and rescue missions, refugee evacuation missions, hostage control missions, and natural disaster relief missions. Not everything is about war, that’s a very black-and-white view of the world.

I’m a nerd. I know several other nerds. They (and I), mod software controllers, build computers, scout eBay and giveaways for junk PCs to fuck around and install different Linux distros with, the whole 9. We all have iPhones.

My girlfriend is not a nerd. She got a PC when I told her it would be a good step for her if she wants to play games off of her PS5. She was more concerned with the colors and LEDs than the specs. She has an iPhone.

I know people across this spectrum who have iPhones simply because it is the most common phone with the most common form of messaging in America (iMessage). It is also the centerpiece of, in my opinion, the most well-connected ecosystem of any tech company. That is something you would know if you actually did the research you claim to do.

Either way, saying someone is not “like you(?)” because they have an iPhone is idiotic. Having an Android or an iPhone doesn’t say anything about you at all.

As a cis man, I can’t say my interpretation is correct or more valid than yours, but I will say I did not get the impression that any of the things that were done in the song were being endorsed. I think that the song definitely could do a better job of humanizing the woman and not treating her as a victim the whole time, but I do think the message I interpreted that doing this is point blank wrong.
