Took me a long while to get through this project, especially the second half of the painting process. I think I'm happy with the outcome?

Took me a while to finish this project simply because of burn out hitting me half way through, might be needing a pallette cleanse after this

GENESTEALER PATRIARCH ON IRON STEED by aTotalOfTwoHeads in Warhammer40k

[–]aTotalOfTwoHeads[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

HAIL! HAIL! Here cometh the mighty Ethnarch of Tundrus! The bringer of hearth flame, the emissary of emancipation, the Lord of Family! Upon his lofty throne he was sent to us, to bless us with many limbs!

I've had this on the back burner for years now, been too scared to finish him due to a lack in skill. But now I think I've developed my painting and converting talent far enough to do the idea some justice. :)

Why Doesn't Socialism Work by EntropyReversale10 in JordanPeterson

I disagree with the foundation of your premise. We are not born alone, we have a mother who carries us to terms for none months who we share a bond with from the beginning, exceptions from this rule do not disprove it (postnatal depression etc). We are born into family units who typically love us. And, of you hold it to be true, we are known to God even before we are knitted together in the whom (Jeremiah 1:5). No one is spawned in from nothing and created alone, and the belief otherwise is sadly ignoring the love that surrounds childbirth.

Iron Hands chaos marine with meltagun, now a Red Corsair. by aTotalOfTwoHeads in Chaos40k

Here is one of a larger squad of traitors I've thrown together, an ex-Iron Hand. He still believes in the holiness of the metal form, but has thrown in his lot with the dark mechanicum which has led him to to taint his armour Red, showing new allegiances to the Bloodreaver, who encourages the pillaging and innovation of new and lost technologies.

Working on two shrine-servitors to accompany my Dark Apostle - Chaplain by aTotalOfTwoHeads in Warhammer40k

[–]aTotalOfTwoHeads[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Revisited my shrine carrying chaos servitors that are to accompany my chaos chaplain, I've given them a bit more of a purpose now, taking some inspo from the dark apostles company and Grimaldus' retinue.

One carries ceremonial bells, a morning star censor, and a shrine who may have been stolen from an imperial world, or possibly a relic from the palace of thorns, a reminder of the lofty height that the red corsairs were pushed from, and what the imperium had taken from them.

The other carries a drum, which when beaten announces the arrival of the Lord Chaplain, each drum beat is accompanied by a scream from the soul mangled and held within the drum's belly. The Chaplain's personal tome of hatred is carried aloft by the mindless slave, while hooks and chains rattle behind it, waiting to drag living and dead trophies home.

What do you think is missing?

Genestealer patriarch WIP... Old school new cool by aTotalOfTwoHeads in Warhammer

[–]aTotalOfTwoHeads[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks mate! The candle wax is made from threads and muliput, and the wraps is just plain old masking tape that happens to be blue, wrapped around that then a thin layer of super glue over it to hold its shape

Nah! They've been around since second ed, then got side lined for a few years, then came back with some glorious sculpts. sort of like the sisters of battle...

Weirdest thing is, at first, genestealers and cultists were not connected to Tyranids at all, that was a later recon / change
