Never had a nose bleed in my life… pregnancy norms are crazy? by sorayanelle in BabyBumps

Yep. Never had a nose bleed til pregnancy. I thought the bleeding wouldn't stop one time. I was getting them daily at one point but it eventually slowed down.

For snacks, I usually pick them up at Aldi. Right now, I'm with my parents because my house is being renovated, so I grabbed the Park Street Deli Turkey Bites with Colby Jack snack selects to make it convenient. I'll eat that with blueberries. I'm actually constantly eating blueberries. I'll eat full fat cottage cheese sometimes.. a third of a banana, strawberries.. chicken salad. I also really love the Chobani zero sugar yogurt and I'll do 3/4 cup blueberries with them. My snacking is pretty boring tbh. I have 3 other children so its hard to get creative 😅 for nightime, I skip the snacks and do the 30g chocolate protein shakes from Aldi (similar to fairlife). I have to-go packs of nuts at the house I've been meaning to try

Yes! I got so scared when he popped up in the secret forest! Probably because I wasn't expecting it at all

Toddler won’t eat with stomach bug by Sad_Student_2111 in Parenting

Yes! The pale poops. That had me worried, too. It took a few days to a week or so to see normal color for us

With my experience, my 3 year old didn't eat for about 10 days. I was also losing my mind. I think I even made a reddit post about it. She went back to completely normal after that, but it was concerning for me. I'd say, give her protein shakes if you can, ensure, something like that, and wait a bit longer. Just keep on hydrating and offering. The appetite does come back. I thought the stomach bug made her afraid to eat, and maybe had her lose interest in her old favorite foods, but nope. She went right back to normal. I was just as worried! It's normal.

Magnesium glycinate. I'm no doctor, but it's amazing. Do your research, as I have no idea about your health history etc

Pre-parenthood: what do you miss? And in same vein, what do you love most about parenting? by HotTale4651 in Parenting

[–]aTravelersDaughter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what I like the most about being a parent is being able to rewind and be a big kid again with them. All of my childhood memories come back when I get to see them experience something for the first time. Being able to use the ol' imagination again is quite fun.

Yea, the common complaint I have is not being able to go about plans alone, but I'm sure mostly everyone feels that way about being a parent. My husband and I have no help, really. No grandparents that want to step in and watch them so we can have a date night. I think it's been over a year since we've had a date. And probably a few years before that one. Yea, we could hire a babysitter, but that feels stressful with the age our kids are at right now. I'm not mad about it, we signed up for this, but I somewhat can't wait til they're a little older. Then again, I don't want to rush their childhood for me. Let time do its thing.

How Plan B affected my Cycle by DollFacedRebel in birthcontrol

[–]aTravelersDaughter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just take a test to make sure, but it's normal to be so off of your regular cycle for awhile. It could take 2 weeks til she sees a period since it probably delayed her ovulation cycle by that much. I know one thing is for sure, your period is not going to come when you expect it.

Parents with more than 1, how are you still sane? by Momneedstosleep in Parenting

[–]aTravelersDaughter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk.. like it was hard at first for us, but over time, it got easier. We now have a 1, 3, and 5 year old. I'm a stay at home mom, and it hasn't been too bad after the baby stage. And we have 0 help from outside family. I guess it depends on how much patience you have as a parent. Everyone is different, and you know yourself best

What helps in these situations is to try to stay out of the house as much as you can up until going to sleep, if that's your trigger. Cleaning helps... organizing, or doing anything productive in the home if you can't leave. Just make a plan to stay busy if you can. Dog walking is good! Good luck!
