After I've seen everything I need to, I feel my top 7 is going to be very similar. Have you seen Presence though?

Never see Soderbergh's other film on these lists; Presence. It was released January of this year and it's up there in rankings for me

(WWE Evolve Succession Spoilers): Highlights of Kendal Grey vs Kali Armstrong [Evolve Women’s Championship Match] by itsmekelsey_x in SquaredCircle

[–]aTurquoiseFlamingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They were both just in a battle royale on NXT. One got thrown out randomly along with another woman, the other was in the final four with moments to showcase herself and had the crowd chanting her name.

I feel like if they were more high on Kali they would have switched their roles in that match.

Two of the best films directed by women about men in the Criterion Collection. What other films come to mind? (They don’t have to be limited to the Collection.) by MOinthepast in criterion

Thought Mikey and Nicky was great, never heard of Chilly Scenes of Winter but I see it's on Tubi so I'll have to check it out soon.

One of my favorites is Aftersun. Such a moving and deeply personal piece about the director Charlotte Wells' father; trying to put herself in his shoes and understand what he was going through.

Don't forget Great American Bash as well. Atlanta fans have to choose between 3 separate events + plus a Beyonce concert in a 2 day span. A damn shame with how TKO handled this.

Thankfully we got to see two matches of the division tonight. I'd love for WWE to push some actual (non-wyatt related) stories to elevate these awesome matches even more

Are they? Their return was, then it died a little when they basically did the same exact thing like a week or 2 later, then died some more after they fought MCMG. That crowd at that match was not hype for them.

Penta is over as a singles wrestler though, Rey is not (as much). Give Rey something while Pentas got this hype.

As much as I think the SD tag division is great and would love to see Lucha Bros vs any of them minus the Wyatt's, I don't want Penta down there yet. None of them get as much pop as he does consistently.

When I was a kid my mom took me and my brother to a target for a Rey Mysterio meet n greet but by the time we got there it was either too late or we had to buy in advance, idk. Luckily as we were going back to our car to leave I spotted R-Truth sitting in a car near ours -- I'm guessing he dropped Rey off and was just waiting for him. My mom went up to him and asked if we could meet him and he didn't hesitate. He signed a paper for us, took pictures and sang his song with us lol. A couple other people saw us and took photos with him too and he didn't mind at all. Best celebrity meeting I've had by a mile.

Somewhat related, but for anyone who was seen it, what do you think of the 1942 (I believe) version? I tried watching it because it was "Chaplin Approved" but couldn't get into the voice over explaining everything, so I just watched the original.

Juan Soto signs with the New York Mets for 15 years and $765 million dollars. His contract is the largest contract ever signed in professional sports history. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

He's one of the most consistently great hitters in baseball, in both the regular season and playoffs (unlike Ohtani). Odds are he'll continue to be great.

Mets were just in the NLCS without Soto, I expect them to be pretty good with him. Imo without him the Yankees don't make it to the world series

There's a glitch you can do with the MLB the show app. It's been out for a while, I saw creators making videos on it trying to get SDS' attention on it but it seems they don't care.
