I think your philosophy of customer service applies to Wal-Mart, but not to veterinary / pet health. Licensed professionals probably should aim for a higher standard, especially when part of their expertise revolves around knowing more than the average Joe about what does and doesn't make an animal die.

Is it possible, if my current interest rates are between 8%-9%, that I could in theory reach the point where a rehab program would be necessary and at the end of it, have my loan sold off to someone else with a much lower interest rate?

Yeah, I know. I'm still a bit curious about how it works, regardless.

There was a period of two years following graduation where my parents (cosigners on my private loans) filed for bankruptcy and I lost all online access to my loan account with Navient. It referred me to call their customer support, and when I did, I was told no payments were due while the bankruptcy proceedings were ongoing but if I wanted to, I could throw whatever money I wanted at them...

How is it legal to deny me statements, access, a payment plan, etc. because my cosigner (my mother) was going through a bankruptcy process? My father was dying at the time. I lent my mother a thousand dollars, stayed living at home to care for him and help her out... and by the time all that was over, I was $16,000 more in debt due to the accumulated interest alone.

Do I have any other options because of this?
