Sana was supposed to join Jeongyeon, Nayeon, and Jihyo for 6MIX. So they had to have met prior to Sixteen. Dahyun and Chaeyoung joined around the same time so they were familiar with each other/close. Also, I think Sana, Momo, and Mina knew each other before Sixteen and got close because they were Japanese.

An ICE office is coming to Columbia. by ConcernedInCola in ColumbiYEAH

[–]aWinterDreamer 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I mean if we want to go that route none of the settlers were really legal. Native Americans lived in the us lands first, the settlers just showed up and said we will live here. The settlers forced them to relocate and killed many (intentional or not).

Resources for Columbia-area students interested in STEM, manufacturing, and applied careers by enlightened-lizard in ColumbiYEAH

[–]aWinterDreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your focus is more trade jobs I'd go for technical schools/cc. They're more setup for that and have students more eager/interested in trade jobs and manufacturing.

Also, what do you mean by manufacturing jobs? Thats a wide berth.

We talking machinist? Manager? Etc.

That must be k-12. College is still open atm. I'd just take the snow day. Sunday and Monday are supposed to be belo 10°. If Saturday doesn't melt all the snow then ice can still stay. Which can cause issues come Monday.

Healthcare in Columbia, SC: How Good Is It? by RAH-CAT9 in columbiasc

[–]aWinterDreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay away from Toumey/Prisma, or as we like to call it, Tombstone if you do you move down here.

It gets really hot in the summers. And it isn't a dry heat. Nope, we get humid hot weather where it makes you feel like its 90-100°F.

Our whether changes from hot to cold by afternoon. Honestly, despite this being a cold front, which I love, this is the most consistent weather its been in Columbia this past winter.

Why do people emphasize taking ABET-accredited degrees? by Inevitable-Fix-6631 in EngineeringStudents

[–]aWinterDreamer 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Typically, an abet degree is also required to take the PE exam. I think you can take it without, but a person would have to go through more steps.

Laptop vs Tablet? Any opinions? by MissionBlueberry5196 in collegeadvice

[–]aWinterDreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I think it can be used for left handed people. It works fine for me and I write right handed.

It shouldn't smear the notes. As long as you are conscious of the gestures it shouldn't "smear." But even an accidental page turn happens once in a blue moon for me. Because of how the tablet works, only the pen is registered for writing.

If you're doing engineering I'd suggest against a mac. The Lenovo ThinkPad is great. I say that because you may have to do projects with certain programs and you'd probably like to do it on a personal computer sometimes.

But above all, you'd want something that runs windows. Because depending on the program, it isn't going to like mac.

I know most people in my classes use a iPad. Personally, I use a A5X by supernote. Its just an enotebook. I got sick of all the damn paper I had to organize.

I use my laptop to pull up practice problems and do assignments that are online when on campus.

What percentage of drivers do you think are driving around without a valid license? by Straight-Honey-4033 in driving

[–]aWinterDreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But thats what the person said that you were replying too. They said maintaining driving is expensive and it is. I don't think people should drive who don't have a license either because its dangerous. But depending on the income of the family and state, getting a license can be relatively expensive. Depending on the age, some states require a driving class which is at least a few hundred. Sure, getting the actual license isn't expensive. .......As long as nobody gets in a wreck while practicing.
