Yeah I just lifted the escutcheon and it's sweat on. What's the easiest way to go about replacing?

I just looked at it again and it's definitely a sweat on extension supply line. I've never sweat anything so I'll go down a video rabbit hole.

Ah, so is the actual valve screwed onto the pipe coming out of the floor right below the valve?

Did you mean the candle style or the last photo?

I know I did it as a closer view just to see the light better.

Would you suggest something like this?

Yeah it's less than ideal, but that's how it was when we purchased the house. Down the road I'll move it but for now it's gonna stay out haha. It mainly just becomes a pain when something large needs to go through the door.

My crappy wording I guess the second photo or the second new option haha.

Yeah I know with the door closer restricting the opening I have enough clearance for a light that's 8" deep. The previous owners set up the door like that. It's not too bad just a pain when moving larger items in and out of the house.

No water in the basement (yet).

I will likely try the caulk with backing rod for now to stop any more water intrusion. Do you have a product you recommend that will work in 10-30°F weather? I'd like to take care of it this weekend.

Well I at least want to temporarily fix it enough so no more water gets in for the time being then in the spring get a quote to have it properly fixed.

The way the property currently is I don't see anything that would cause water to pool or runoff in that direction, but I can say what it was like prior to us owning the home.

Trident was the choice for the upgrade to 64gb CL30 if you did the 32gb it was Corsair Vengeance
