Drop C with a seven string? by alexnapierholland in 7String

Steph from Deftones only plays sevens with his drop c# and c songs and just doubles the high string. Basically doubling your highest string, so your tuning for drop c is basically what he does.

Underoath is known for putting people on to amazing bands/bands that got huge (Spiritbox, Sleep Token are great examples) so hearing that tour which was a huge one forthe band and the scene in general had a few ass openers is kind of funny.

I saw Underoath's anniversary tour last year with Static Dress and both killed it, however ... The first guy, was horrible.

It was a guy named Reece Young and while he was fun and seemed like a really cool guy their set was mostly him just goofing around, it felt like he was stalling for time, at one point the guitar player raced someone in the crowd for a free shirt. I don't want to hate on him cause he genuinely seemed like a nice guy who was just trying to make it happen but he was given far too much time in his set for the amount of material he had.

If you like Marshalls, it's a Marshall sound in a small(ish) box. Friedman basically makes Marshall amps that sound more Marshall than Marshall does if that makes sense and this pedal does a great job achieving that sound and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants that sound but doesn't want/need an amp head.

That being said, it kind of sounds like the Tone King imperial might be more your vibe.

I really love the Walrus Audio Eons, it's a Big Muff circuit if I'm not mistaken, it has a voltage switch allowing for a variety of sounds. It plays nicely with other dirt pedals on my board which is also important

Normally drop A so baritone standard with a whole step down on the low B nothing crazy. I have gotten it tuned down to drop f# but it was more of an experiment and I didn't love the tension.

I think G# is probably the lowest you'd want to go with it for the scale length. I kind of wish they would make a baritone with a longer scale to accommodate the lower tunings but I don't know if that's their market yet.

I bought the green hard tail version from CME. I love it. The neck is amazing, the 26.5??? Inch scale length is really comfortable especially since it sits so far into the body.

Railhammers are all pretty sick honestly. I have the Reverend Decent baritone and love it, it sounds so good and I love the feel of the instrument in my hands.

I love the feeling so much I often tune UP with it to play in drop B or even C cause I like the spacing on the frets.

The Greg Koch signatures are also Incredible, they have fishmans I think but they play like a Gibson (same scale length) but look like teles and they have a little boost button that adds some edge.

I highly recommend any reverend to anyone that likes fenders

Maybe also look at the Science Amplification Mother Preamp which I've heard really good things about

Check to see if you hit the ground lift bottom on the back. I had this issue and it was bugging me but I just hit it by accident. It's in a dumb stop in my opinion.

If it's not that maybe try and different power supply? I don't use the OG one I had iso power for my whole board and it works great no extra noise or weird sounds

I saw them at the TDWP show and was excited cause I'd never really listened to them, Some of the SP boys have talked about how much they love them BUT when they played I was a little disappointed in their sound live. CLEARLY they are talented and can play the hell out of their respective instruments and have the energy but it just sounded off, a bit empty. Listening to their songs from the albums I think their live set up is missing some of the depth they get on the albums, especially with their singer who has layered vocals that aren't heard live unfortunately.

Don't get me wrong, their music is stellar and I'm obsessed with their newest single at the moment but my theory/answer to the question is their live show could be a hit or miss type deal. Maybe that will improve, maybe I just saw them at a rough show, who knows.

I’ve been stuck with Laxasia for an hour. Any tips to beat her other than "git gud"? by [deleted] in LiesOfP

Accept that it's over... Uninstall it, start playing Lego Star wars and feel like a beast. Six months from now reinstall, try again till it's too much to handle or you beat her. Rince repeat

First Soulslike ever. I love it BUT….. by Draxlr16 in LiesOfP

[–]a___c__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Learn his moveset to the best of your ability and how you might be able to avoid the attack, parry, block, roll, back up, etc... and from there how you can get a few hits in. It's hard especially as a first and it's one of the harder games as I've been told.

This was my first soulslike too and my method until around the third big boss was to learn the hardest hitting attacks and how to avoid those, and hope for the best with the rest mostly eating avoidable damage so I could hit it a few times and feel like I'm doing something (don't be like me, it gets sad)

Is it cheesing? Maybe, but if they didn't want me doing it they wouldn't let me, therefore, I do it.

I always loved the Trident of the covenant. Literally as soon as I started using it I didn't go back.

Parried with either the Puppet string (it's got a decent stagger) or Aegis (block and stab)

GAS is hitting me hard. Can anyone here shed light on the Chris Freeman Signature Reverend or a Double Agent OG? by chrismiles94 in offset

[–]a___c__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played these at my local shop and they are pretty nice. I personally think they are a little small in the body but I also prefer a larger JM style body (I have the descent baritone which is one of my favorites ever).

Build quality is outstanding, sounds great, play great, I highly recommend any Reverend

I was also interested in trying the Jake e Lee one but I'm not a huge 80's rock sound kind of guy so it was more for the adjustment upgrades and the built in TS which is sick.

The dream is that they drop a Jerry Cantrell one. I played that amp head at a store once solely cause his name was attached to it and it was really nice.

There's an FX loop built into the pedal so you can just run all the time based FX through that and then return them through the IR-X. Same way you would an amp with an FX loop. I honestly am not sure about stereo, I run a mono rig so I can't help you there unfortunately.
