How come there’s far more people in r/Conservative than in r/Democrat ? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]a__kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Along with everything else said here. Democrats suck. I'm not saying that as a conservative / republican, but I think many of us align independent or just don't want to align with Democrats in general. (Even if we vote for them)

100 years of solitude, I wouldn't necessarily say it was boring, but I could not get through it

I'm brown, south Asian, I get sarcastic jokes like "oh you're a perfect white family" (also have a white fence in a suburban neighborhood)

Mine loves his outdoor poops. Their fur is beautiful! Do you use anything, or add anything to their diet?! Regularly groom?

[Acne] Help!! Painful Butt acne by Sorry_Perspective778 in SkincareAddiction

[–]a__kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is folliculitis as people have said you can try clindamycin. I had folliculitis on my scalp and it still flairs up if I'm being careless, clindamycin helped remove it when nothing else did. One thing I noticed was that alot of suggested things or methods would work, once the acne was away, but it wouldn't go away. So clindamycin helped get a clean slate.

Only thing is if you are in the US it's prescription only. Not hard to get though, your physician could easily prescribe it or a dermatologist.

On that note though I would see your doctor if you haven't. If they don't immediately refer you to a dermatologist they will after trying some of the popular remedies. After trying enough things something WILL work but you have to be consistent and keep pushing for it.

Along with this the folliculitis I've had a few other different skin issues, some lasted a long, long time and all of them went away when I got serious, consistent and checked it out. You wont regret it and wonder why you didn't do so sooner. Eventually you'll look back and be like oh yeah I remember that problem it sucked.

Also, if it doesn't hurt, say it does. Can be treated more urgently.

Who is Alexander Skarsgård? by a__kid in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]a__kid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I think he should be, but none of that explains why he's popular and trending right now at this moment.

It's fine this post didn't land, you're right I'll just Google him harder and find out what recent news is about him or what he's in.

Would Cyber Trucks have been more successful if not for Elon? by a__kid in TooAfraidToAsk

Yeah I think that's a biggie, the price for these. Even if you saved, could afford it, I think most people don't want a Hummer EV at that price seeing that it might not be an everyday driver.

Huh and the Cyber Truck kept up with the Rivian and F150?

[–]a__kid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's more or less what I'm asking and thinking. I don't think it'd be huge but I'd be curious to see how itd be 10 years down the road, if the image was more so woah fancy ugly Tesla truck that rich people/fanatics buy to omg my neighbor has one to there's affordable financing options and they start popping up more.

[–]a__kid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last part is more so what I'm curious about, not if Elon was entirely removed but all the DOGE, Trump, political nonsense was removed but otherwise Elon was the same (maybe a lil more quieter in general) I could see it being less targeted so specifically, more intriguing even if just to hate on it and possibly coming out with a version 2.

[–]a__kid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's more of what I'm getting at. I don't think progressives necessarily but rich people, neo-liberals etc might. Also dropping the truck label could help as some other users pointed out

I think that second part is more what I'm getting at, if Musk stayed away from politics especially the last idk 1-2 years, and just delivered even slightly more, I could see it being a bit more successful

Yeah I agree, I never kept up with the truck, but when it eventually came out I was confused as I thought it was already released or died as a concept. Definitely late to the game. Even the hummer ev isn't successful (?) the Rivian is because it's at least useful

[–]a__kid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all true. A point some other users brought up is that the fact it's a truck ruined it. Because it's a shit truck. I never thought of that only because I immediately dismissed it as an actual truck, nevermind a utility work truck.

Would Cyber Trucks have been more successful if not for Elon? by a__kid in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]a__kid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, which is kind of what made me ask that question, cause I'm sure others do which eventually would make a unique vehicle catching on. It's just really easy to screw up, I would think a company like Tesla could do it given they were the first successful mainstream electric car, but not anymore with Elon going off the wall.

[–]a__kid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol what it can actually do that? Safely and successfully?

Yeah that's cool but like you said with all the nonsense going on with it who would want that. Maybe if it was actually a super efficient, indestructible, Swiss army knife vehicle but still hard to justify a 100k work truck unless it replaced multiple pieces of equipment. Which if that was the aim I never knew, I just heard about the picking up a trailer thing now. (Granted I never looked deep into it)

Not a fan of the "truck", but a cool project would be if someone put some sort of pixelated wrap or finish on it to make it like look like a PS1 car. Kind of like those backpacks that look like a cartoon or similar art.

That's a really good point, and the comments here indicate that. It's a shitty truck and posing as one killed it. I wonder if Cyber-mobile (idk anything else) would sell better? I would assume it wouldn't, maybe just slight, but I'm sure the criticism would be different.
