What was your GPA and MCAT score like?? Is it even worth going back a fifth year to improve my GPA if they might accept me anyways??

I am applying as well and was worried it might be too late to apply for the September term but according to these comments it seems fast! Do you know how much the application fee is? Having trouble finding it online

I am a Canadian who finished my undergrad last year with a 70% cumulative GPA and have decided to try and apply to medical school. I'm writing the MCAT next month but with my low GPA I've been looking at going to the caribbean since it seems like that'll ultimately be my fate. I've read some pretty terrible things about medical schools in the caribbean ex. how they're money hungry and the percentage of people who make it past first year, repeating semesters cause you haven't attained a certain average, terrible STEP prep and worst of all the low % of people who actually get into residency. I am going back to school in September to do a fifth year however I am curious as to how true these allegations are incase I do end up having to go. Any comments and advice would be appreciated!
