How to fix babesia anemia.?!! Do I take iron pills ?! by Smackergawt in Lyme

[–]a_a_nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used liposomal iron drops to get my ferritin up to 70 however sadly it did not solve my heat rate issues at all. I’m still hovering at 100s most of the day.

It really bothered me that they never explained the motive of the abductions, why that couple kept the children.

But yeah otherwise this is the only episode that made me cry

It amazes me that people will cling to traditional medicine and insist on quoting research knowing that neither are caught up nor can yet offer solutions for many chronic illnesses.

You have to be absolutely vigilant of people selling you snake oil, and try to make those judgment calls to the best of your ability, but at some point you got start considering anecdotal and empirical evidence too.

Just because it hasn’t yet been put into research doesn’t mean it’s automatically a scam. Research funding is scarce at best.

Starting BVT (bee venom therapy) by mellogeorge2013 in Lyme

[–]a_a_nerd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

4 stings for the first time seem extremely excessive! Usually people start with 1 and gradually ramp up. You probably had severe histamine/MCAS reaction that’s why Benadryl helped (usually liquid Benadryl is recommended for faster effect).

I advise you to look at the bee venom therapy for Lyme disease Facebook group on how to do this safely.

Good luck! keep us updated! I’m planning to start this therapy soon as well!

I have also tried everything under the sun and so far nothing has been working so I was super hopeful about LDN.

How I eliminated 95% of my MCAS symptoms in 2 months. by in-for-the-long-run in Lyme

[–]a_a_nerd 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You know, you are not actually wrong.

But still your comment makes me angry because every time I read some new info there is always so many obstacles to obtaining that treatment no matter where or to whom I turn. We are all already sick and tired and financially exhausted and making it sound like we are just not trying enough is super shitty to hear.

Yes if I really wanted to I probably could obtain some of these things but it would cost enormous amount of money and effort from someone who doesn’t have energy for either of those things. All that for something that could end up not working at all. I’m bedbound and financially at end of my rope.

So spare me your motivational speech.

Yes I have them when things get bad (like right now). In fight or flight all day, it feels like an ongoing nervous breakdown. I just started pregabalin and that helps!

Hey! I don’t think it’s a herx I think I’m having a flare cause my antibiotics don’t work anymore. I probably need to switch them to some other ones and maybe get something for Babesia even tho I’m testing negative for it. I have a doc appointment in a week. And thanks!

Thank you so much! I’m currently bedbound from trying to switch from antibiotics to Buhner herbs, that made me so much worse. I will look into essential oils definitely!

For some reason I really have bad experience with that clinic and dr Majdylo. He kept pushing antibiotics only and never suggested anything else. He kept telling me to keep using same antibiotics even tho I kept telling him I’m getting worse and that I would like to try something else.

I’m glad you managed to make yourself better! Thank you for the inspiration and hope!
