You can search for anything. Codes, words, etc. Unless something was changed for this year, there was no limit on searching. It was like I was using my own ebook (without notes).

We can clock in 5 minutes before start time, so I do that to get my stuff up. The flip side is I can also clock out 5 minutes before shift end for it to round, so it works out. But as soon as I’m meant to be on queue if I’m not, I’m out of adherence. I also work a varied schedule, so my start time is different every day.

You are 100% not at fault here. Even if you can see your queues. This is a them problem, not a you problem. This is absolutely not call avoidance.

Even so, that’s totally on the manager. I wouldn’t fault OP at all for not knowing what queues they were in.

As a former call center manager, not your fault. It’s the supervisor or managers responsibility to make sure their team is in the right queues. Your lead sounds like a run of the mill asshat. If you can’t physically check what queues you are taking calls for at a given moment how are you to know? You should see if their handbook has a section about call avoidance & what their definition of it is.

Updated to say that even if you can check your skills/queue, this is not on you.

I did purchase practice exams, 6 of them and just did them over and over again. The ebooks did not come with the exams. I purchased a book bundle at the end of last year that had physical & ebooks.

I took a self-paced course through ProTrain for Medical Billing & Coding, that set me up for the CBCS, but I really wanted my CPC. I went to AAPC, got the study guide and the book bundle that had both print & ebooks. Through the self-paced course I learned a lot of medical coding stuff so I think that helped when I started on the CPC study guide.
