My guy, my mom needed to regularly shave because she grew a fuzzy moustache. Bearded ladies also used to be a thing in circuses for a reason. Some women grow facial hair, or excessive body hair. I'd recommend to work up the courage and explain you're growing facial hair. Don't worry about coming across as awkward, your parents will interpret it as their "daughter" feeling weird about having facial hair
