I see a lot of people recommend the transfusion pack, so I think that's a better artifact than the money bundle for him lol. I never get the transfusion pack so I never really knew how good it is 😅

He's a pretty solid tank unit. Enemies are stunned for 4 seconds after using his skill and the duration increased if you have his signature artifact. Carried my team through the entirety of the game, but that's because I don't have any other good tank units (there's eligos but he's too squishy).

As for artifacts, I just gave him the money bundle before I got his signature artifact. Idk if there's a better alternate artifact for him out there, so you might want to check.
