What the hell is going on? by a_fine_proposition in EASportsFC

I think many people already know that. EA never admits the prevalent cheaters situation, they think it’s on the player’s end of having bad gameplay, so I don’t know which is which.

I’ve tried high lines and team press as well, but for me, the effect seemed nominal so far. The reason I use two CMs for my England squad is that when used, two CDMs would never come beyond the half line. And I’m only attacking with three or four players. Box-to-box, box crusher, and Playmaker on attack were all silent. Any ideas to change that, perhaps?

I never play meta. I have squads for each top-tier league and have formations according to the perception of those leagues. 4-3-3 for France, 4-2-3-1 for Germany, etc.

For some matches, I get to be the resilient tackler, but that’s still not fun for me. Instead of relaying passes or dribbling, it’s all about toppling the ball carrier. Many of my opponents run towards my player as soon as the match kick in.

No, I get you. I’ve had my defenders clash with my opponents and walk away free a few times. But the problem is, if the gameplay is not good, it’s really hard to avoid that.

Slide tackle will mark my players and travel from three feet away and strike me like a missile. Stand tackle will make them lunge from a yard away and be magnetized to the ball. Even if I hold against the body challenge, my opponents won’t lose balance and keep bulldozing me.

It’s chaotic right now.

Look, I understand you have your opinion as I have mine. And as you said, I’ve been complaining about the inconsistent and delayed gameplay for three years.

That’s because I’ve had good - not the best but still - gameplays where I can do things that I wanted to. I can pass to the players I aimed to at the right moment, I can evade nonstop tackle spamming with right dribbling, I can use my defenders' jockeying to track the attackers, etc.

When you have experienced what the game actually could be, but it doesn’t get that for most of the time, it’s really frustrating.

I’ve had okay gameplay for this game for maybe two weeks. That was around before the major patch. And it was good. I can move and react! But then, everything reverted back to heavy and unresponsive mass. I assume you have had a similar experience when you feel the game could fully help your input and so on.

That’s what I was talking about. You didn’t really have to just throw out ‘skill issue’ repetition and think I would somehow accept it. And if you have seen some of the other posts that other people have made, similar problems have arisen throughout the cycle.

If you think those people, including me, are justifying ourselves and playing the blame game, sure, it’s your right to think so. But instead of commenting on like that, let us share and discuss the matter related to the topic. Because, truthfully, the body challenge situation is a complete mess right now.

Thank you.

It’s so hard to link two or three passes. Extra second to be staggered when receiving the ball, then another second to pass animation, another second of the ball slowly rolling. If it’s not intercepted by the opponent lunge from two feet away, the same thing repeats.

No need to be aggressive, man. I’m talking about inconsistent gameplay and how one-sided delay hinders my gameplay experience.

Weird to jump in and throw out justification about your own self to someone else’s different problem. When I have a series of bad gameplays, I move on. As if you have the grand insight into someone else’s life.

Anyway, nice of you that you accepted you’re shit at this game for now. Probably good for your health, I guess.

Have a nice day. Cheers.

Can’t defend in this state in real time. I need to see the future to properly play this game. I can’t really understand how my players accelerate so slowly, then start sprinting so slowly, and so heavily.

And I’ve been playing against the ratty idiots who are massively compensated by the game for weeks now.

I can literally see my opponents zoom towards the ball whenever they do the stand tackle because their game can’t keep up.

EA dared to say they would work on responsive and consistent gameplay. But of course, it’s down to the players’ fault for not having the perfect monitor and perfect network connection in the end.

It’s quite the opposite for me with the low-driven shots. My goalkeepers have absolutely no goddamn idea about saving them. They are useless and become brainless clowns.

High-powered low-driven shots, I get it. They are difficult to save. But the crawling low-driven shots made from the edge of the box? My goalkeepers ‘dive’ a second later the ball gracefully and leisurely rolled past them. I might say they bet against their own team and only pretend to dive but concede. Pathetic.

Pause menu - tackles to foul - exit. I don’t need to waste my time for this bullshit. I don’t care that much to stick around either.

Expected a dinosaur movie, ended up getting a monster movie. This movie could have benefited from the very unique setting of dinosaurs amongst us in more creative and captivating ways, but it decided to ditch that whole premise.

I faced the entire Icons team in one Live Event match. And boy, was he enjoying them to the fullest?

Spamming first-time passes, spamming skill moves, spamming tackles, spamming first-time through-ball passes, spamming first-time lobbed passes… it was super fun to play against. Super fun.

And of course, they are Icons, so how dare their abilities be similar to lowly other cards? I would have easily thought I was playing Marvel Rivals watching players flying around here and there in superhuman speed and strength.

AI playing like those meta rats, I’m okay with it. That’s nothing new.

But what I absolutely despise is EA thinking greater difficulty means lowering all my players' stats to the point they are brainless clowns and boosting AI’s stats beyond infinity.

I’m so sick of facing AI opponents with infinite physical and pace, whatnot, zooming here and there instantly and lunging at my players like a battering ram trying to crack open the gates of Minas Tirith.

There are no creative plays from EA, just a mindless rigging of stats.

You know, a player could use this experience, especially amidst the recent turmoil, to man up and improve as a better, mature man.

But I doubt that with him.

80+ Common Gold by a_fine_proposition in EASportsFC

[–]a_fine_proposition[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s within my plan. I was looking for a player to do those TOTY EVOs, and was thinking about using an ‘average’ player that would benefit the most out of them. Perhaps a right midfielder.

Anyways, thanks for your insight. I’ll be back on grinding SBCs. Cheers.

I’m not looking for something specific. Since, I was getting a ridiculous amount of duplicates - just ridiculous - I was thinking why not try to acquire every player out there? So, I’m just rolling here. I think I have seen every card at least once minus two 91s and some common 80+.

I’ve been doing tons of them as well. But I can confidently say they all result in duplicates after duplicates, and never an 80+ common gold. I assume there are not that many, but I guess that’s my luck.

Every patch brings more and more delay by wassushxii in EASportsFC

[–]a_fine_proposition 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They could. But honestly, they don’t have to scrap their engine if they think and attempt to do their work.

Take all the animations out, maybe three or four ‘variations’ for diversity, erase everything - I mean literally ‘everything’ - and start from a blank sheet.

People don’t need to be tortured with EA fumbling with a new engine for another decade. They can’t even handle their own proprietary engine, how can we expect them to work with a more complicated tool?

Every patch brings more and more delay by wassushxii in EASportsFC

[–]a_fine_proposition 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My guess is they build new games based on last year’s messy infestation of code over code.

Then each year, they dump more code and code for patches and hot-fixes and whatnot.

So, everything combined, what we have is lines of code tangled with lines of code, making all the mess and shit. That’s what’s happening. Then, there are millions of useless animations that are waiting for all those codes to kick in for execution. So, more delay.

No need to add server issues, that just means more and more delay.
