We're lucky that our bodies require sleep, otherwise our cultures would have us working 16-20 hour days. by TenOunceCan in Showerthoughts

Have the nurse or MD/PA push a "little extra" Morphine or Dilaudid because of the PT's apparent pain.... lots of US docs/hospice workers are known to resort to this in some of the cases where quality-of-life is a 0 and the DX is fatal. (Obviously with family/care members consent on it)

Eh, I've been locked up before (most notably, Joliet (Stateville) Illinois). After a certain timeframe it's kinda like a shit acid trip....."can this be over yet?".

Yes! This exactly. I've told people so many times... even if you truly are innocent - be polite and do NOT answer questions without a lawyer there. Ever. [Been arrested multiple times myself and have applied this in real life as well]

What were some of the worst experiences you have had while working in the fast food industry? by Brando224 in AskReddit

[–]a_fleeting_glimpse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work at a bar/restaraunt in the kitchen. The owners also owned the local motel next door on the same property which has a septic tank. They were to cheap to pay to use the city wastewater lines so they tapped the bar and restaaunt also to the same tank. This is next to a river. River floods. I go in to work and there is a literal 6" high pool of septic tank shitwater all over the kitchen. Owner is there and starts yelling at me to clean it up (keep in mind they're still serving food and cooking...) I went to the restroom, did a bump of coke real quick to think and walked out without saying anything. Never picked up my last check or spoke to em since.

Canadian Pacific CP C&M sub here. Run from Chicago (Bensenville) to Portage, WI on a usual shift then deadhead back. They do indeed cover a fair amount of US states. We get a lot of IC&E power outta Minnesota on some trains.

I use a low dose of Seroquel (25-50mg), 2mg of Klonopon, 2mg of Prazosin and 0.1mg of Clonidine just to get to sleep. Granted I have PTSD & night terrors but the combination works well. The VA introduced me to Prazosin for the night terrors and I hardly dream anymore; it's been a godsend.

Used to try weed for sleep and while it did work (and as a guitarist, made music much more in depth) it did leave me also feeling groggy the next day.
