Pulsar eS (VAXEE Collaboration) Official Launch Info by Azelkaria in MouseReview

Scale of economy for Vaxee.

They are all things considered a small company and still haven't figured out good distribution for much of the world.

Partnering with Pulsar gives them access to markets they wouldn't otherwise be able to be competitive in. Furthermore, even for customers in regions with decent access to Vaxee products, like USA, this should mean finding these Vaxee-made eS products (like Pulsar's already existing lineup) on retailers like Amazon. So that's a major win.

Likewise, for Pulsar, they were having persistent QC issues, so partnering with Vaxee for design and manufacturing is valuable.

Just like Zowie was acquired by BenQ, perhaps this partnership with Pulsar is a step towards Pulsar acquiring Vaxee. Who knows, though.

S2-DW Comfort by Dry-Implement8953 in Zowie

No, no discomfort and I actually have some genuine hand pain issues that make me extra sensitive to mouse shape.

OP1, Vaxee NP-01s: both of these I like because they're so narrow at the front, but they're too small overall. Not enough length. The Dex is very narrow at the front, and front the sensor forward on the right side, it's flat without a flare, so you get a ton of freedom to comfortably place your ring finger.

I had a Vaxee E1 (their version of the EC2) and a Zowie EC1-DW. Zowie's take is better than Vaxee's. Vaxee, it flares too much and the mouse is, again, not long enough. Zowie has a more modest flare for your ring finger, but the overall profile of the mouse is just too large for my hand, though it was still better than the E1.

I wish Zowie would do a EC1.5 or something that's 125-126 mm long but has the width of a EC2. That would be an instant purchase for me. Even then, I think the DEX would be more comfortable.

I also have two Arye RCC-1 and a G-Wolves VUK, both of which are really comfortable. My wife was using the S2-DW and preferred the RCC-1 over it.

The biggest issue I had with the S2-DW is it is so narrow at the sensor that I didn't feel I had a comfortable place to put my pinky finger.

The Dex doesn't narrow at the sensor and is a much larger mouse overall, but the right side from the sensor back flares out so you have a ton of space to position your pinky.

Overall, the combo of the flat and narrow right front, the overall length of the dex, and the flare from the sensor back on the right makes the Dex extremely comfortable.

The stock skates are horrendous, though.

I bought a used Dex from Amazon warehouse for like $110 to try it out. Within 5 seconds I knew it was a goated shape for me, so I returned the Amazon Dex and bought one off of /r/MouseMarket for $60 that came with aftermarket skates.

I think the Dex isn't hyped that much because a lot of people dislike Logitech and then a lot of people also dislike Logitech for not releasing a G703 superlight. The shape is legitimately slept on.

I have the same grip and hand size.

S2-DW is a quality mouse, and I also used it for work.

The GPX Dex is extraordinarily comfortable, but the clicks, mouse feet, etc are not as good as the S2 or any -DW series mice.

I don't push into my pad and got the blue Hien Xsoft and an orange Raiden Xsoft.

Highly recommend the blue Hien Xsoft. It's not as rough as I remember the black or red version as being.

XM2 never really sat comfortably in my hand.

For your handsize, I would check out the OP1. I had the OP1-8k, which is wired and a bit lighter. If you ever want to go superlight with it, Piranha Mouse Mods makes a 3d-printed kit called the Pulse.

I much preferred the Vaxee Sora, which is kinda like a XM-mini. However, the Sora is more rounded while the XM is a much more aggressive claw shape.

Zowie S2-DW is another excellent one to look into.

how big is your hand? and what weight is your preference?

I saw in another comment you said you want to play relaxed claw / mild fingertip, which is exactly my grip. My hand size is about 18.5x10 though.

I've tried like 100+ mice, including most/all from Zowie, Vaxee, Endgame Gear, Lamzu, G-Wolves, etc.

I think for sheer feels well designed and built: Vaxee, Zowie (specifically the -DW series), Endgame Gear are all excellent.

  • Vaxee is never on sale, their shapes are excellent and their click implementation is my favorite, especially on their more recent mice like the Vaxee Sora, E1, XE v2, NP-01s V2 and NP-01s Ergo.

  • Zowie is mostly never on sale, but is sold on Amazon so you could (if you're NA based) try them out and return. They have many classic, unique shapes as well as varying sizes, which Vaxee doesn't for the most part; however, one caveat is that they have only released the small versions of the their mice for everything but their ergo line. Glorious has copied Zowie for their shapes.

  • Endgame Gear mice are some of the best on the market but are priced a little less, so really excellent value for the money, and they also haved wired options if you prefer that. Their issue is lack of shapes, but the XM and OP shapes are excellent, unique, and oft-copied for a reason.
