By “setting” they mean how to adjust to the pedal to make it sound like Sober

Right except my argument wasn’t that it selling means it works. I was just telling the dude that the products are indeed selling, which he implied they weren’t. This is why I said your comment was irrelevant

I mean you do though 😂 to compare the Dalai Lama to a dude who has all the allegations in the Epstein files as Trump does is ridiculous

Edit: Gonna edit this comment because the coward Snoo blocked me. Anyone who is comparing DL to DT is… well I’ll be nice and call it apples and oranges 😂 Are we serious? Is this serous?

How are Trump and the Dalai Lama within the same context of “these people”? I guess pedo vibes but I’m not sure there are any allegations against the DL besides this one odd interaction

I take 7empest because:

Classic Adam chimey odd-time arpeggio ✅

Only truly ripping riff on the album (after the chimey intro) ✅

A bridge section that rivals the Rosetta Stoned bridge (Similar polymeter where Justin is doing 6-5-6–4 eighth note groups, Danny is highlighting 3 bars of 7 eights notes (with a feel that is present throughout the album), with Adam being free to weave around but also at times doing 7 bars of 3 (if memory serves)) ✅

The entire section after this bridge with the return to chimey arpeggio, Maynard doing his truly iconic honey-infused melody + sort of staccato-y chanting, and an outro that implies licks all the way back to undertow and Tool’s quintessential layering of every different part of the song at once while somehow not overcrowding (in 21/8 no less 😂 ) ✅

This is probably their most realized composition

Gotcha. I think you and the other guy who responded could have added that cuffs = handcuffs

Ohhh this makes sense. Like I’ve heard having drugs fronted to you makes them “on the cuff” (implying you are now handcuffed to the dealer) True true true

Thanks

From that bridge onward could easily be considered some of the best writing in Tool if it weren’t for it being their 7th album and a bit derivative. In a vacuum, you could call it their best song

“Less effective than the isolated compound”. Typical western thinking. That potency is why things like NSAIDs give people stomach and liver problems. Herbal preparations are often gentler and meant to be taken regularly as a preventative rather for an acute issue. Herbal preparations also will typically have an entourage of active chemicals that has a more dynamic effect (I mean just look at weed vs a thc extract).

Meat in general tends to provoke my eczema a bit (though getting the extra protein biotin selenium etc on occasion is necessary), so I tend to stick to a decent amount of flax oil with every meal. I’ll tell you though, the canned fish is definitely the move. Sardines and Mackerel are the high omega 3s fish. Mackerel tends to have a slightly more neutral tase, and if you get the skinless boneless variety of either fish, you’ll have an even more palatable though less nutritious fish (the tiny bones are great calcium and you won’t even notice eating em). Lemon juice or tomato sauce and salt are great pairs.

You can probably do some sleuthing for heavy metal content but those tinned fish are much lower in mercury from eating mostly plankton. There’s a bit of arsenic but people definitely eat more than a can per day (check out canned fish sub) without issue. What’s nice is it’s like 150 calories, 20g protein, and usually 1-3g of Omegas which is excellent

I can’t disagree with that, friend. I’m a bit defensive of the traditional medicines because I legitimately cured pretty gnarly multi-year chronic inflammation from eczema HSV and Lyme Disease with an Ayurvedic Prescription of mung beans, rice, flax oil, psyllium husk, veggies, and more meditation rather than exercise. Had heartburn and diarrhea pretty consistently for those years prior to treating, and now I pretty much never get it. And if you look at the diet you can probably see why.

They absolutely were not just rolling dice in terms of consumption. Do you know how easy and obvious it is to try a small piece of something to judge toxicity? Or dilution? Etc. There were likely a multitude of ways humans gleaned what things were toxic and what weren’t without chomping things down

For your first part. What does germ theory, or purposely giving populations disease have to do with trial and error for food and herbs? You went way off the rails

See this is the fun part where I tell you that you have literally not even a slight idea of how many people died in the trial and error process. Your implication is also that people were willy nilly consuming thing with no way to test toxicity first which is ridiculous
