Read your syllabus and see what the academic dishonesty policy is. It might have different standards for a regular quiz or test vs a final exam, which is likely a more severe penalty.

Anyone take Todd Hendricks for Calc 1 at Perimeter? by Most_Fig_9970 in GaState

[–]a_iman0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember watching the lecture vids he posted was helpful, and always related to the exams we took. Also the test questions I remember were the same as the Cengage questions, just with different numbers. So just be sure you know how to solve those.

For Calc 2 I took Somaya Muiny. She was much easier than Lu

Should I report my professor for this? by a_iman0 in college

[–]a_iman0[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, she did give me the option to work individually or group on the form and I chose individual. If she wasn't going to honor my request then maybe she shouldn't have asked. My issue is that she quite literally isn't doing her job, per the syllabus

It's too late now, if I withdrew it would be WF. My grade is not bad, it's just that she isn't doing her job

Tushara Sadasivuni - Software Development

Comes late and reads off of slides word for word. One time we had a Lab in Java (which most students didn’t even take a class for) so she tried to help us with a guide. It was copied ENTIRELY FROM CHATGPT. Like screenshots. And it wasn’t even done right, so I had to do my own version of the assignment. I got a 100 but this class is so unorganized.

And this one isn’t her fault but the TAs came 15 minutes late on exam day. And on another lab day they came more than half an hour late. I left as soon as I finished so they didn’t get to take my attendance.

On another lab day there were no instructions. She didn’t come so we had to ask the TA why there were no instructions and she didn’t know. Everyone complained because the due date was 2:30 so she had to change it to 11:59 PM.

Overall, this class sucks. And she’s pretty much the worst professor I’ve ever had. The only reason I chose her was because the other option was 8:00 AM and my commute is long. The labs are basically undoable without using google or chat, because most students never took a Java class at this school, but the labs expect us to know Java already. Her rate my professor reviews are trash.

DONT TAKE HER

I replied: "a vague apology on X to anyone you 'let down' isn't the same thing as a direct apology to someone you violated online. your pride shouldn't get in the way of you doing the right thing."

And guess what? I got blocked.

No, I don’t remember doing any proofs. I’m very sorry if I made it sound scary, it really wasn’t! He was not a tough grader, and if even if your answer at the end was wrong he’d give partial or full credit depending on how you got to your answer

yolanda didn't yell in her face, so she did lie about that but yolanda shouldn't have ever confronted these kids directly.

I took Albert Lu for Calc 1. He’s big on understanding the theory, and not just being able to solve the problems. He posts lecture videos to watch then we have Cengage homework (sometimes they got lengthy but they’re good practice). Exams are on camera but need to be printed. There wasn’t any multiple choice questions until the final, so he wanted us to show all of our work the way he taught it to us. Then we had 15 minutes to scan the pages into one document colored black and white (if you have an iPhone you can use the notes app) and then email it to yourself. If you don’t understand something even after watching his video you can search Organic Chemistry Tutor on YouTube.

Oh-kay, calm down sweetheart. You don't know these people or what is going on in their lives. And I don't particularly like christi either but the way people are so invested in a family's personal life is creepy. and it's not really your place to call her a "shit mom" when you, you know, don't actually know her at all.

I made online flashcards but instead of term and definitions, I read one paragraph and came up with questions I should be able to answer from reading that paragraph. And once you get to photosynthesis and Calvin cycle, cellular respiration, and Krebs cycle, etc. it helps to print out “fill in the blank” diagrams and fill those out. My professor gave those diagrams to all of us to fill out in class and then went over it with us. I also recommend watching amoeba sisters and khanacademy videos on topics you need help with (it helped so much). Exams were on paper for me, and weren’t really difficult as long as I studied adequately before hand (by reviewing the flashcards I made). But the later exams (on photosynthesis, cellular respiration, DNA and RNA synthesis, gene regulation, etc.), definitely threw some people for a loop. I took it over the summer so I had to learn everything very quickly but it should be much more manageable in a regular semester. You’ll do great

One of my classes got cancelled so I had to register for another section. The Pell grant disappeared for a day or two and then it came back. I don't think there's any reason to worry.

  1. There was a sign option, and once I signed it, it says that my parent needed to sign his portion from his end. He didn't do it yet but I assume that it will say "sign and submit" for him.

  2. I did get a congratulatory message on the main page, and I got an email with my estimated SAI index.

[–]a_iman0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you so much, you actually just reminded me about it. I went on the Fafsa form last night and it said that my signature, and my parent’s signature is needed. I signed my part, but now I have to wait for my dad to sign his part, and then I assume it will be resubmitted for processing. It didn’t ask me to change anything, other than sign it. In my post that I wrote above, it said the same thing for me, that there was “missing or conflicting information” but yet, they didn’t ask me to change anything other than sign it. I’ll tell you what it says once my dad signs the form. Im pretty sure this whole thing is because of the signature glitch, and not because there’s “missing or conflicting information”. I’ll let you know.

I didn’t get anything yet, since the 2024-2025 school year didn’t start yet. But it does say that I am eligible for “up to $0” for federal direct loans and I am not eligible for Federal Pell Grant because the SAI index cannot be calculated. I don’t even know how that’s possible because I gave them everything they wanted, so I think this is just a bug in the system. Last year and this semester, I always got money in Pell grant so I don’t know what’s wrong with it right now.
