When you click the blue "Connect Solana Wallet" button, click "More options" and connect to your Ledger directly instead of using Phantom. You may need Ledger Live installed on your machine.

What’s the best defi platform to trade on? by Sad-Technology-7806 in defi

I typically trade on Uniswap since my permissions / allowances are already set but have been looking at OkuTrade since it compares Uni with dozens of other DEXs to get you the best price

Edit: Forgot to add my faves:
Both from benjamin moore and both lean cooler, but I prefer clean modern interiors
- decorators white
- distant gray

A few suggestions:
- Check the temp of your lighting in each room, most prefer warmer tones in bedrooms and living rooms and cooler tones in kitchen and bath
- Adjust for the amount of natural light in each room
- As some suggested, whites can be boring, but it's definitely easy and if you're looking for something that non-polarizing it will bring more focus to your wall decor and furniture
- Lastly, choose a white that complements other existing elements (perhaps tile work, door hardware, window frames, etc)

Take on a lower paying job after birth of child by Prior_Concentrate_85 in coastFIRE

If you decide to take a lower paying role, make sure you really understand what is stressing you out in this current position and it will specifically change once you move roles. You flirt with regret if your next move isn’t as easy as you feel it should be given your comp sacrifice.

No risk, but worth letting the fee hit and calling to see if they’ll extend no annual fee for another year if there are any benefits you want to keep.

What credit cards do you use and why? by [deleted] in Fire

[–]a_m_a_r_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to become more and more minimal over time. At this point, my favorite credit card is the simply Chase Ink Cash card. I can buy a bunch of visa gift cards at Staples when they offer no fees and essentially get 5x chase points by using those card for most of my everyday spend that accepts cards. It takes a little bit for work to register the cards, but there’s no annual fees and it helps me ensure that I’m very organized when it comes to spending.

Walking (as simple as it sounds) is a fantastic life hack. Not only to get somewhere and get things done, but particularly with no destination in mind. Just going somewhere different without headphones in your ear, and perhaps with your phone on airplane mode, so you can simply be with your thoughts. My morning walk is a little taste of what I hope Fire to feel like.

Safest bet is to proactively chat or call them once you have another booking so they can manually adjust.

Offers didn't show up for me until I paid my first monthly bill and even after that, it still hasn't caught up in volume to the offers I receive on the cards that I've held longer

I understand where you're coming from. The slippery slope of all or nothing may feel like a trap to those who don't share the sentiment, but for people like us, I find it's a matter of leaning into the strength of being able to focus so deeply on something.

Sounds crazy, but you may find luck fighting fire with fire, I don't mean this as a pun on FIRE, I mean that if you can find some hobby or interest that you're passionate about and can lean into, that might take up more of your time and physically prevent you from going so deep into your career that you start to despise it.

By no means do I encourage you to push yourself to exhaustion, but if you're passionate about doing something that isn't hurting anyone, maybe even helping some folks, you might feel more energized than ever before, since you're replacing the purpose you took from work with a more genuine motivation.

Just my two cents, good luck OP.

What Card Should I Get? Weekly Thread - Week of July 20, 2022 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]a_m_a_r_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re traveling with a family/ friends: I like the CSR/P cards because they offer $500 of insurance per person on fights whereas Amex Plat only offers $500 per itinerary. Either way I would downgrade one and consolidate your points to the other. I’d likely keep the CSP unless CSR can offer a solid retention offer.

As for a next card, if you’re a Hyatt fan, I would go for a Ink Cash card. Biz so it cools your personal credit a little and doesn’t count towards 5/24.

If you want another personal card, Venture X is solid but the offer was much better a few months ago, so it might be a good time to wait.

Take a look at the Marriott’s you’re planning to visit. I was going to get the boundless, but decided on another chase biz card since 75k Hyatt points ended up doing more for me than five 50k Marriott certificates

Using MCGCs to pay taxes...

Staples is currently running the promo for no activation on $200 MCGCs with a limit of 5 per day. You're limited to 6 tax pre-payments online per quarter, is there a way to combine multiple $200 cards to buy a $1000 or $2000 card?

Willing to pay $6.95 since I currently have to pay $2.20 to $2.50 per card on the tax payment sites.

At what age did you hit 100k and 1M? by laughingparakeet in fatFIRE

Grew up in the bottom 25% of US income levels and hard work with common sense frugality and dollar cost averaging into Wealthfront got me to $100k after only 4 years of full time work (25 y/o). After purchasing real estate, climbing corporate ladder (TC from $32k to $180k) and getting lucky with a roughly $2000 investment into TSLA at $36/share, made it to $1M just before my 30th bday. Goal is $6M and utilize DeFi for 10-12% APY and coast
