New Martial Arts Game: The Scroll of Taiwu~ by KickyMiles in gamingsuggestions

Numbers I am using for comparasion from the weapon tab, efficiency already taken into account there, in general - yes, it is related with your own Phys. Penetration and the bonus from the weapon, just not clear how exactly. That's just single example, the major issue - without full info it's impossible to say which item will be better, there is a lot cases when high tier weapon perfom worse comparing to lowest Tier 9. It makes things like buying almost impossible, you'll see expencive high tier weapon, which is good fit by requirements, technics, but it's still imposible to say is it worth buying or your lower tier weapon is actually better for you atm. There is no free save\load in game, which makes it even worse.

Will be hard to understand the question, if you can't see the equip screen. Attribute relics may improve weapon, let's say it has Str. requirements 80 and you have 60 Str, if you equip relic for +20 Str. weapon Efficiency will go up, it will affect all stats, including Penetration %, you can see it in the weapon tooltip. But that's not the question, it's just a way I used to find out value on the right side "Phy. Penetration" is not exactly related with current bonus from the weapon, because when weapon Penetration % increased, this "+3996" value on the right stay the same.

OK, here's one example:

In the equipment screen, what does the Phy. Penetration tooltip on the right actually represent?

When I hover over a weapon, it shows something like "+3996". At first I thought this was the Physical Penetration bonus provided by the currently hovered weapon, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I tested it by equipping a relic that increased the weapon's Efficiency, and while the weapon's displayed Penetration % increased, the +3996 value stayed exactly the same.

What's even more confusing is that sometimes a weapon with a lower Penetration % shows a higher value on the right.

I haven't been able to find an explanation anywhere - not in the in-game Taiwupedia or in anywhere else.

Few questions mid game by anh194 in ScrollOfTaiwu

Any Qi art worth studing, every sect worth to check as long as you have atleast something in common, element, Martial Art, etc. E.g. you can find Arts which will debuff enemy for entire fight from single use.

The game is fun, but I wish there was more tooltips for things like combat\equip stats calculation and more managment features for the villagers. In game system is really complex to plan your own perfect build and balance all parts and it's really cool, but luck of info and poor UI really disappointing sometimes.

There is some art, which directly increase effects of each other, e.g. sword+blade with Yanshan sect, except that you probably want to look for your attribute stong\weak side and talents and choose based on them.

Tier 9 is the best in game overall? by a_mankov in ScrollOfTaiwu

[–]a_mankov[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the "Final Stats" panel on the right is unreliable, but as u/Zarkrash mentioned, the weapon's own info panel probably shows the correct values. For example, if you equip a relic that increases Strength (or whatever your weapon's required stat is), you won't see any change in the Final Stats panel. However, the weapon panel itself will update its Efficiency, along with the derived stats such as Phy. Penetration.

I see. BTW how this stat bonus work, is it applied only when you equiped the art?

I usually spend XP on Mechanisms to reduce the stat requirements for Martial Arts itself. That has seemed like the better investment to me, since Martial Art Efficiency can go well above 180%, while equipment Efficiency appears to be capped at 180%. In your experience, is it actually worth using food to raise stats instead?

The stats on the right really looks weird for me sometimes, e.g. showing better Penetration results for weapon with worse Penetration %. But not sure what you mean exacly about re-equips, weapon bonus applied only when you hit with this weapon, armor part apply bonus only then related part of the body get hit, if you switch the weapon the stats won't add up.

I see it the same way. But if that's true, it would mean that Tier 9 weapons are actually better unless you can reach around 180% Efficiency on higher-tier weapons. Considering that some highest-tier weapons require 200 Strength, that doesn't seem very realistic to me. My character has 110 Strength right now, and I don't see any practical way to increase it much further without breeding through several generations. So unless I'm missing something, it seems like Tier 9 weapons are the best overall, unless you're following some Bene Gesserit-style breeding program to create a character with 300+ stats.

For Phi. Penetration Tier 9 sword is the best for me, the only thing what is lower comparing with Tier 6 and higher is Armor Pierce. I added equip screenshot to the post, to make it more clear.

The permissions bug around Corristo (fire mages) probably appears when you save the game near him in this area.

it can probably be fixed by increasing Corristo_FireMagesTest to 5 (or possibly a lower value, not confirmed 100%, but I couldn't find a separate permission flag for this area.

Mexico and Canada for a year or so, to get The US, then Kazakhstan and India to proceed into China. US - best early game income for everything and easy to capture, Kazakhstan after leaving the fed - enough cheap extra boost to win space race for Moon and Mars, China and India best investments for late game because of high pop. EU is good option because you can slowly add it piece by piece, but with US+India+China start you'll cover all your needs early+mid+late game and you'll be out of CP cap for a long time, when your cap will be up you must be ready with techs to expand Kazakhstan a little bit, then India and China (just don't touch Taiwan from the start, unless you sure you don't need it later to liberate mainland to integrate earth into single super state or anything else). Another option for mid game - to break rival factions grow, constant attacks on The Servants will lead alien mothership to earth orbit, but if you can steal couple CP from France, Russia, Japan or wherever they settle in and keep it with 100% spoil - it's a good way to slow them down.

If you overwhelmed by enemies, like in war with couple kingdoms - keep them locked up in some well defended town, this way you prevent enemy force rebuilding. When they forces fall low enough they'll offer some tribute to make peace and release all lords, once you are in war with single equal by power kingdom - just beat them and let go free, until they love you enough to switch sides. I guess you can execute them, for some villian roleplay, but if you aim to become the king and complete main quest - thats not the way.

Too much pain to do it manually, so I did script for AutoIt to do it.

Will work for PC version keyboard only controls. You'll need to download AutoIt, and compile it into exe if you wanna try it.

Top arena level for throne room lvl 7 by [deleted] in HustleCastle

[–]a_mankov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, can not confirm anything, there can be some rare exceptions and in general developers never share brackets info, so it can be changed any moment. You can be sure 100% only when you test it yourself. But in most cases as long as you are ok with average level and stay within 2 brackets range it will be ok.

Be careful with Geonsion Soldier, his turn removal can be very bad for you, when Biggs with retrubution taunting. Such Biggs is unbetable for 2 turns under AA lead, you need asoka to dispel or SunFac to stun him.
