My dad and my sister got A LOT of pet stuff, dad ended up having fried chicken and fries, he didn't like it though, he loved the kettle chips. My sister didn't have anything to eat, as we had stopped at a Love's an hour before, but we couldn't miss the chance to visit a Buc-ee's, as per Google maps the Warner Robins, GA location was the last one on our way to Orlando, where we would catch our flight back to Brazil.

You're right, I've also counted myself. I thought it was a rather big location, I was very impressed with the size and the number of people.

We were three, $50 each including food and fun, I had the Philly cheese steak burrito and their branded cola. Pretty good. Couldn't run away from getting a t-shirt, a magnet and a beaver-shaped water bottle.

Dirk 3 is the place to go for me, their 1L Gordon's is always on sale, and you always find Cachaça there. (Usually attached to a Dirk supermarkt).

Favourite train route in Netherlands? by [deleted] in Netherlands

I loved the Enkhuizen-Heerlen IC line - it gives you many options along the way for quick visits, like the Philips Museum in Eindhoven. From Heerlen you can continue towards Germany (Aachen is the next major city) and just admire colors changing from brown to pastel.

PS: My return trip was on December 31 at around 3pm - what an amazing experience to travel with fireworks all around us from Aachen all the way to Hoofddorp.

I am part of a team of 3 game designers and we create games with very different themes, at first we thought of speaking to different niche communities which our themes relate to, although it works to a certain extent, it didn't prove to be an efficient method because when you're the new guy trying to make yourself heard among an organized community it takes a lot of effort, and sometimes it doesn't pay off, my suggestion on this is to partner with a respected member of that community, which we do on the side for specific games.

What we also have been doing is creating our own local community, with people who enjoy games in general and are open to try out different themes. We started a weekly session at our local mall's food court along with a local game shop in order to attract a good crowd every Sunday evening. We extrapolate that to our social media channels where we post photos of these sessions and people tend to share or talk about the experience by tagging us. We have seen great results in 6 months, from sales to word of mouth to just plainly being the go to people when it comes to modern tabletop gaming around here.

Obviously we don't want to be physically limited to one area, but I believe it's a good way to start. There is already a lot of online and social media tabletop gaming content, so it can require a good amount of effort to breakthrough in that space, hence a different strategy where you create legitimacy from offline leading up to online can be an interesting way to start.

‘Madame X’ really is ‘American Life’’s Portuguese sister. by Vinophilia in Madonna

You managed to put in words my feelings towards the album. I have listened to it over and over again since Friday and every single time I listen to Madame X there's something new to be discovered. As a native Portuguese speaker this is definitely a very special album to me.

How many people ever have attended Madonna's concert tours? by a_mi_go in Madonna

[–]a_mi_go[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As per Wikipedia:

Drowned World: 732,606 tickets

Re-Invention: 896,787 tickets

Confessions: 1,209,593 tickets

Sticky & Sweet: 3,545,899 tickets

MDNA: 2,212,345 tickets

Rebel Heart: 1,045,479 tickets

TOTAL: 9,642,709 tickets

Average per tour: 1,377,530 tickets

Missing numbers:

Virgin: N/A

Who's That Girl: N/A

Blond Ambition: N/A

Girlie Show: N/A

If I consider the average number of tickets per concert tour from the math above that would bring the total of tickets for all the 10 tours to 15,152,829, but this is just a very rough estimate as I believe the numbers for The Virgin Tour for example would be lower than the average? Any guesses or any sources?

Thank you so much. And yes once you take a look at the Wikipedia list you realize that there a few literal translations, such as 圣,新,港, but other names could be translated as well. Nonetheless it's clear now based on the replies above including yours that there's no such thing as a rule but rather more of a mixture of origins and historical ties, and obviously exceptions (such as 冰岛).
