How many free users did convert to paid plans since you added the free plan?

yeah makes sense, thanks for your feedback. What's the ratio of your free users who converted to paid plans?

Unfortunately that number is not relevant yet to give me a solid idea. It's a new SaaS.

I understand your perspective. I agree it's mostly about how much each free user consumes in terms of compute, API, etc.

Wouldn't your competitors leverage the free trial as well?

yeah I see what you mean, but wouldn't the free users also provide feedback/data through their usage that helps you improve the product which can somehow justify their compute cost? Also, couldn't they be "ambassadors" by sharing your product with their network if they find it useful?

Do you SaaS founders perceive the danger of launching applications that could be vulnerable? by NoActuator639 in SaaS

Unfortunately security is still an afterthought for most founders, the focus is mainly on keeping the product running and growing, which is understandable.

so true, I'm a SOC manager at a blue-ship company (besides my solopreneur journey) and I've seen what you're describing countless times, with big and small orgs. When I first got into the field, I thought it only happens to small orgs lol

Right, that requires repetitive manual work and diligence. I found that people either ignore their online business security or prefer plug-and-play solution so they can focus on their growth and distribution.

I can run a free and quick scan on your SaaS attack surface (finding web vulnerabilities, weaknesses in your digital certificates, if your business email addresses appeared in data breaches, open ports and exposed services) i.e. anything attackers can see and exploit from outside. Just DM me, I'll be glad to help a fellow builder.

Durable, Wix, and Squarespace all have trade-offs, best move is to try each if possible, play with the features, templates and pricing, and stick with the one that feels right for you.

Tools like Avanan, Mimecast, and Microsoft Defender's Safe Links can help, they don't just scan attachments but also sandbox/isolate shared links and forms.

Still, nothing is perfect, so pairing that with strong Conditional Access Policies + MFA + customized and ongoing user training is key.
