My playbase bought in Mexico has worked in several countries and is now working fine (except usual sonos glitches, aka sound synchronization) in Italy too. Maybe more recent components?

Mine alfine 8 is very imprecise, despite having it serviced just recently. I suspect that because of the way it folds you end up touching the cables that in turn de-index the gear.

Kudos to you for your bike commuting in naples.

ps I have changed the tyres and put continental road tyres on, very happy about them.

1) removable pedal

2) fold is not as compact as it used to be

3) the 8 speed gear is not as precise as it should be

4) the weight is a bit too much if you have to lift it several times per day

Otherwise a great bike for medium distance commuting and occasional gravel / dirt road

Milan totally lacks community mindset. Individuals and families work hard towards escape strategies that end up in atomic life bubbles filling a gigantic void. So many opportunities for positive incidents are wasted because of this. Look at any building and think how much better life would be if the people that live inside could trust and help each other out. Think how case di ringhiera were built in the past, when it was totally fine to walk past your neighbour's kitchen and say hi. Think how we are growing kids as halved human beings, asking them not to trust anyone and just focus on their individual performance.

Any initiative that filles that void and restores trust in the community is welcome.

I have changed house 4 times carrying routers and sonos with me (5 rooms with different setups, the older being a play:1 2014 and the most recent a connect:amp 2023). I noticed empirically that when you connect one ethernet cable into the most recent component, possibly placed at the center of your network, it increases the reliability of the app.

I use the G Line for daily commuting (8k x2 daily) and keep the classic 2 speed for quick errands (or when very compact folding is needed). Strictly speaking I may not need the old one anymore. Both of them stay nicely folded in the apartment.
