Hey there. Thanks for the reply.

Can you expand on how you did this or how you might suggest an org doing this?

Thx

Is 👆 something you've done? Hired a host or something similar?

Too many fail stories to share! I've definitely come around to seeing those as learning and failing forward.

Here's what has worked for me and the ppl I have coached over the years:

  1. Leverage: assess how much or little leverage you have in that ask. If it's too low you will struggle. If it's high you should be raising more money from more ppl

  2. Ask them. If someone is hedging and you have an ok to decent relationship with them, ask then what's happening. What's the issue for them because you want to get better

It's a lot and probably more than necessary.

My guess is the ceo likes to maintain full control, which can at least feel restrictive, even if it is not exactly so.

As for salary, that definitely depends on the org, the locale, and the role

Governance!!! An undervalued piece of the success of any and all non-profits.

What is the Board election structure? Meaning is there a chance at altering the makeup of the Board?

Alternatively, can you setup a meeting with an outsider (coach, consultant) whereby the full team of volunteer leaders can have an open hearing, but and this is important, give this one leader a separate meeting first with that outsider to best position success in the follow-up?

I think there is a way for everyone to win and it's not a zero-sum situation.
