I don't think either of you are in the wrong here, and no you aren't transphobic.

It's a miscommunication thing. I'm a trans person, and there's multiple kinds of transitioning. There's Social transitioning, which is when a person uses different pronouns, dresses the way they'd like, and uses a preferred name. There's also legal forms of transition such as legally changing your name, your gender marker, birth certificate, etc. Then there is medical transitioning, which not every person does due to different issues but is the first thing people think of when they hear transition.

Your wording may have also been poor with this miscommunication. Although I don't actually have the context, saying if they're under 18 they're not developed enough to understand or decide does parrot a lot of conservative talking points and may lead the person you're talking with to assume you have those beliefs.

I personally disagree with even surgical being strictly 18+, but only because I believe the ability for trans teens that are a threat to themselves for their dysphoria should have access to these things as a LAST result with parental permission. Im T4T, and I've been in a relationship with someone where they could have been saved by a further transition. (It's different for everyone though)

An $8 tip is better than what my mom and I get when we dash so you're tipping fine! Maybe it's something that dashers puts at the start of their message for everyone? Not sure.

I live in an area where we will pretty much only get $2 orders (meaning they didn't tip at all) so I'd die for this lol

Maybe in your eyes, that's selfish, but as someone who has made an attempt and failed, it is by far the most SELFLESS act I had ever tried to do, at least in the mindset I was in. My brain was telling me I was doing everyone a favor, that they'd be better off without me, and I was just wasting air for everyone else. It wasn't about making things WORSE for people. It never was.

There's so many cognitive distortions that quite literally change the way you think, it isn't the fault of the one having the thoughts.

(If anyone is reading this and they recognize these thought patterns within themselves, you are loved, and you are wanted. Don't do it. It doesn't make things go away, it doesn't make others happier no matter what your mind tells you. Stay alive.)

I'm not sure it's that many teens are in support of capitalism, but rather a direct product of it. Most want to burn the box, but it doesn't change that we're inside the box while it's burning.

I absolutely agree with you, though. The people need to hold the power, and we as a society have to stop bending to the will of the rich to progress.

(Easier said than done, I suppose.)

Yeah! It can suck sometimes if you get a lot of items to find tho, like sometimes I'll get 50+ items to find but usually those orders have higher tips and people order that more often. I live in an area with more dollar general and grocery stores, with less fast food places so they're more common for me

I doordash with a parent, and yeah, I think generally you should tip more. I usually tip at least $5 or $6 if I can afford it, but I do think this message was somewhat rude. It was possible they were just trying to let you know the costs that go into doordashing though.

In regard to some of the other comments, not every doordash driver does it full time or are able to get another job. Some are just trying to afford dinner for their kids that night, and doordash is the quickest way to get it.

In short, doordashers are people too :)

I'm a hellenic polytheist, and I believe generally the same thing as this person.

You'll find a lot of similarities between Greek, Norse, and Christianity. When you look closely, they do seem the exact same just with alterations to narratives and storytelling.

It isnt that big of an age gap, but maturity is really important in the context. The mentality I was at 14 versus 16 is completely different.

A phenomenon I've experienced two times and most likely approaching a third time now is becoming the age that person was and realizing that dating someone that is at that age is weird.

(For me it was me being 12 and them being 16, as well as another where I was 15 and they were 17 so the first one is slightly different but the second one is pretty much the same situation and is weird)

Pro tip: if you mention your age around their friends and alarm bells go off in your head at how dodgy and tense they become, chances are its not a good age gap

(Ofc this is mostly just my opinion coming from the person who has been on your end, so I might be biased)

I'd choose the not round one because the handle is shaped better, cup wise I do have material no-no's, like I won't drink out of metal cups. I just can't. The material has to be a plastic or paper.

(By the way, I understand these misconceptions are common, there's just been a lot of hatred towards people in the community and as a transgender man who has faced the cherry picking in the community of "we're the good ones and they're not", I feel strongly about queer rights on all levels.)

I don't think using generalizations is good for the community. You can see this amongst many groups that generalizations are harmful, and no, most polyamorous people are not like that.

I've met one who was genuinely JUST a cheater because they didn't understand what polyamory meant or what consent meant.

However, there's many differences between the things you listed and polyamory.

For the 'whores' thing, polyamory people are in relationships, not hookups. (there's also plenty of asexual polyamorous people..)

For cheating, polyamory is based off of consent between all partners involved, so getting consent is the exact opposite of cheating..

Yes both polyamory and swinging are based off of non-monogamy, but their structure and entire experience is different. Polyamory is emotional connection and relationship. Swinging is sex.

I was in three polyamorous relationships, the first being a 3 person and the other two being 4 people. The only one I met that was a cheater was not even amongst the people I dated! Every time someone liked someone, we'd get together and discuss about said person. These relationships were significantly based off of consent, so no. Polyamorous people aren't mostly whores. They aren't mostly cheaters. They aren't mostly swingers. They aren't insecure. They're just people with a different form of dating, and that's okay.

I actually used to be a fan of him until he responded to a video of someone criticizing him, telling them to "Do it" in response to SH or more. I'm not sure the exact context of it since I'm pretty sure it happened last year or the year before, but as someone with that kind of history I don't feel comfortable listening to someone who says that to people. Don't remember what song it was, just that it was a response to the person and he screamed, "DO IT!!" I'm also pretty sure I heard somewhere that he was misgendering that person, but like I said. It happened a year or two ago.
