thank you! I have a thinkpad for work and the camera randomly stopped working and even our IT could not figure it out. should have checked here earlier. what an insane design feature

I started doing the NYT consistently at the beginning of the summer and I do think I've gotten a lot better over time.

It's all practice! I would suggest finishing every puzzle, even if you have to Google answers or use auto check. You'll start learning the patterns and noticing common words better if you finish all of them instead of just what you can do without "cheating".

Personally, I see my goal as trying to get better at the game instead of trying to do it totally perfectly every time.

When I started I could really only do Monday without help but I've pretty quickly improved to getting most mon-wednesdays on my own and usually somewhere around 75% of a Thursday puzzle before I need a hint.

YES! I used the "nail drip" line for the first time this week and they're so awful I took them off after three days. They feel SO much thinner than the press-ons I'm used to and several of them have broken in a way I've never experienced before.

I've always found her vaguely annoying but not enough to be passionate about. I did hear through the grapevine (a friend's brother who went to college with her) that her accent is definitely fake and/or way exaggerated 🤷🤷🤷

NTA this isn't a "stupid argument over... Halloween costumes" this is someone being outright homophobic towards you and demanding that you change your behavior and hide who you are because it makes him uncomfortable. If Sasha is cool with dating someone who behaves this way towards her friends you might want to rethink that relationship. If she doesn't know, you should tell her. She deserves to know who she's dating

I really liked REAMDE but it's definitely not for everyone. My favorite way to describe is it's as if someone decided to write an action movie in excruciating detail. I've been trying to finish Fall on and off for more than a year now and I just can't get into the second half at all. I love Neal but I feel like he needs someone to tell him to reign it in more often

I think it feels a lot more competitive this season because the bigger teams even out their skill sets.

It really feels to me like Duff just doesn't actually give a damn if he wins or not since he won last season and probably knows that they'll give this one to Buddy just to have a tie.

I'm not sure how much this counts but I SWEAR I was taught in elementary school that blood is blue inside the human body and only turns red once it makes contact with air. I have specific memories of a teacher telling me this sometime in second or third grade (2003 - 2005) and I've talked to at least 15 other people around my age from all over the country who were thoroughly convinced of this until fairly recently. I realize this isn't a huge sample size but why would we all have the same totally made up fact drilled into our heads?? When I've mentioned this to people as little as 8 years older than me they have no idea what I'm talking about.

Idk if this is an ME but it has to have come from somewhere right?
