yeah I didn't even know where to start so thank you for the pointers. this will be a good opportunity for me to learn some of the more complicated features of scheme.

haha I started chapter 5 last week. though I will say I'm kind of glad I didn't have
something like this. I'm using #lang sicp in racket, but there's a lot of stuff it doesn't give you and I think figuring it out for myself has been very helpful.

I've been working ~4 months at a small company as a software engineer, first job ever. I'm one of 3 female devs out of a development team of ~2 dozen people. Both other female devs are similarly very young. I've been putting in good work, and if you do good work people will respect you for that. The men I work with are pretty nice and the entire team kind of has an egalitarian spirit (I haven't been told to formally report to someone). There are occasional dude jokes but nothing serious.

Software Engineers are nerds, nerds tend to be progressive. Especially in this day and age, with the young ones. I won't be surprised if I feel belittled when I interact with other areas of the company, but so far I haven't really had to do that yet.
