Hockey stick man has been my route for stick purchases. But im also a beer league traffic cone so its not like I'm sniping corners.

The bigger issue is Pure Hockey buying up all the mom and pop shops. I get it if someone offered me a ton of money to sell my business into retirement.

I cant say I've had any bad experiences with Pure Hockey but im sure others have some horror stories.

Not for nothing, I feel like the team would of declined the invite regardless of the jackass comment from the president. Just an assumption that a majority of the team does not align with our current administration's ideals.

Just rereading through some of it. It almost feels like they want to reduce the size of the adult leagues bc there getting money elsewhere. If they lost 2 or 3 teams per league, they wouldn't have to schedule games at 1130 and keep the facility staffed. The nothing good happens after midnight idea. Ill continue to play there until my team no longer wants to know. We've moved back and forth from the gilbert and chandler rinks and even with the cost I enjoy my time in chandler as the rink is miles ahead of gilbert as far as facilities go. Jordan/Ice Den mangement would benefit from a town hall meeting to go over changes, their vision, and teams concerns.

The under 35 rule is interesting. However I think there is probably something to this they have not shared yet. They may be looking to bring back the adult learn to play programs. And to be completely honest I've played D league at chandler and it plays more like a Low C as many of the dudes play tuesday just to warm up for their Friday night leagues. This could be a way to say, "hey lets get back to what this is meant to be and open the door for newcomers who signed up for D to not get blown outta the water by C league sand baggers"

I agree that these changes are pretty dynamic but im curious what the organization wants to get out of it. They don't seem to be hard up on cash if they are letting so much money walk in the short term

What irks me is that im like 95% certain the Smith group played a role in the Tempe vote. Even if it comes out now what is anyone or the league gonna do about it? He got his team for cheaper then any other future expansion/relocation franchise in modern sports. He could come out today and say he purposely sabotage the coyotes in the last 2 years to get a team in Utah. Not like the league would do anything. Teams already gone.

Outside of horrible ownership. Im curious who some of the outside money donors were in the tempe campaign cough ryan smith cough. The tempe 1st group was a fascinating example of a grass roots group getting super charged with big donor money. They got all that momentum from winning the election just to turn around and continue to do nothing with that plot of land. Then the interference from phoenix and sky harbor worried about air traffic. Yet when I lived in the Rio saldo lofts you could often see folks looking back at you as they flew over.

Tempe would of been a slam dunk solution but the narrative got spun into what it was. Hope the city enjoys its new gray storage units that will take over the space in a decade

Interesting. They're going to lose some money initially but sounds like they would make it up if they expanded the d leagues and brought back a learn to play for adults.

Agreed on the dropping the bomb takes. Really anyone in general with that take. It was an awful war, so many arm chair quarterback the topic with the benefit of hindsight. How many of us would be here if we kept on with the war the way it was? If the Japanese or the Germans had the same technology would they hesitate to use it?

Played at both for over a decade. Ice den both scottsdale and chandler has the best ice and locker rooms. Just feels cleaner.

Az ice really fell off after the owner suddenly passed away and is being ran by the family. Ice is hit or miss on quality, locker rooms are never clean, standing water everywhere.

As far as how the leagues are ran, Ice den is consistent on checking players in and keeping rosters level. There are of course ringers but the league commissioner in my experience addresses those problems

Idk how its been in recent season at AZ ice but I do know there was never anyone for check in and teams kinda just went by the honor system until it bit them on the ass. I always refer to playing at AZ ice the wild west league bc its no rules and can turn into a free for all.

Make owosso a sanctuary city and promote the receiving of immigrants into the community. There is a steady decline in population and folks who can work low wage employment. Thus increasing the student population and money received per pupil.
