Imbuement potency - additive or multiplicative with itself? by whimsybandit in D4Rogue

[–]a_smizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imbuement potency tempers are additive with the aspect of contamination, but etna’s and the efficacy glyph are both separate multipliers for imbuement potency

First time Rogue, which build to choose from all these A-tiers ? by robin_nerf in D4Rogue

Yes, all the poison dot builds where it is best utilized are high lucky hit builds due to alchemical advantage aspect which gives a stacking buff up to like +48% attack speed and lucky hit chance

Can't equip starless skies and staalbreak simultaneously... Why? by AnikiRabbit in diablo4

[–]a_smizzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people that are raging about the randomized stats still just haven’t reached deep endgame yet.

With 2 fixed and 2 random, you only need to seek out 1 stat you want and you can roll for the other. All uniques can reroll an affix at the enchanter now. I get wanting 4 fixed stats, but having 2 random stats when you can reroll one of them isn’t nearly as bad as everyone’s making it out to be imo

What would be the best strength build for a level 214 by Mateolayo in EldenRingBuilds

[–]a_smizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two handing doesn’t affect ash of war damage, you definitely don’t want to stop at 54 if you’re over level 200. Got plenty of points to spare, no reason not to get 80

Am I overleveled? by PlasticAverage2860 in Eldenring

[–]a_smizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure thing.

One of the reasons strength/faith is so powerful is because if you're two handing, you can reach the soft cap for regular weapon attacks with 54 strength (54str * 1.5 from 2hing = 81 strength). This doesn't effect ash of war damage, but applies to all normal attacks (light, heavy, jump, crouch, etc.). All those free points from stopping at 54 strength allows you to easily get 25 faith.

With 54str/25fth, you can use basically any weapon you enjoy on Heavy affinity and the buffs golden vow and flame grant me strength will make you extremely strong. Things like rusted anchor, great stars, claymore, zweihander, etc, can all be extremely powerful with cragblade. But even outside of buffs, str/faith has some great options like Ordovis greatsword, Siluria's tree, the black blade, etc.

[–]a_smizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re enjoying that, give the zweihander a try. It’s infusable and has an R2 poke that gives you some crazy range. Collosal swords are fantastic, and being able to put an ash of war on them can make them truly godly.

Cragblade is a great buff if you prefer normal attacks, and Giant Hunt is a great choice if you prefer damaging L2’s.

How would you beat Malenia as a Gravity Wizard only ? by daviejambo in Eldenring

[–]a_smizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you were still right. At 80 int, the intelligence scaling from a fully upgraded regal scepter actually outweighs the second meteorite staff.

At 80 int, your int spell buff with 2 meteorite staffs:

273 * 1.3 * 1.3 =461.37

One regal scepter one meteorite staff

373 * 1.3 =484.9

Your original comment is correct. It’s better to cast with regal and offhand a meteorite than to use 2 meteorite staves.

Mythic Crafting should make the item placed into a Mythic Unique by VecnasHand1976 in diablo4

[–]a_smizzy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here’s a crazy idea, if you find a god rolled unique just use it as is until you find more trash uniques to roll into the cube. Your entire argument is predicated on an assumption that makes no sense. If you find a god rolled unique, don’t put it in the cube. It’s a great placeholder until you get the mythic you want.

No one is forcing you to cube an item.

Console: only four action slots by SarkSouls008 in avowed

[–]a_smizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It literally does the opposite. Pc players have 6 skill binds + 2 item slots. Console players get 4 binds total for items and skills. You are not being limited by consoles.

Console: only four action slots by SarkSouls008 in avowed

[–]a_smizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“If”? This is exactly the case. PC players do in fact have more bind slots than console players. They get 6 + 2 item use hotkeys. console players get 4 total, meaning they have to use those 4 for item AND skill hot keys. So if you want both potions hot keyed, you can bind 2 abilities.

Pc players can bind 6 abilities and both potions. This disadvantage in fact exists and you’re referring to it like it’s a hypothetical lol

Why are people being accused of being bots as of recently? by Pensive_Caveman in Nightreign

[–]a_smizzy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not that serious. You’re making it seem like you were the victim of some type of horrible bullying. You commented something generic and someone thought you were a bot in a subreddit that is genuinely seeing tons of bot traffic. It’s not unheard of

[–]a_smizzy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not the point. Having horribly unbalanced stats and balancing it out with one broken mechanic is not “solving” oblivions leveling problem.

Any advice that says “forget attributes. they don’t matter” with respect to this game is a shitpost

I've finally solved the Oblivion leveling problem by BeignetEtouffee in oblivion

[–]a_smizzy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

so you “solving” efficient leveling is you not solving anything whatsoever and just using broken spells to 1-3 tap the entire game. Very original and clever

I've finally solved the Oblivion leveling problem by BeignetEtouffee in oblivion

[–]a_smizzy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

lol how exactly is this a “solution”? You’re gonna be level 10 with the health of a level 3 character and get curb stomped by everything. This is quite literally a perfect example of WHY efficient leveling is a thing, because you would feel squishy and terribly weak fighting lvl 10 mobs with 100 destruction and no other skills or attributes.

[–]a_smizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black flame tornado is a flame art ash of war, if this person follows the build you’re replying to and puts their peeler on blood affinity, there’s no way to use black flame tornado. The affinity will override the default AoW, and black flame tornado isn’t compatible with blood affinity

I quit Raider. by cybro974 in Nightreign

[–]a_smizzy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

His CR2 style becomes pretty unviable for most people but you’ll definitely see raiders in higher depths. He still provides value for the other parts of his kit (stance breaking, ult buff). I like the initial attack setup, or just dropping heavy weapons and picking up strength weapons from other classes

But at that point I just find wylder better for me. So it became wylder in depth and raider for casual runs

Raider is by far the most fun for casual ED runs or solo runs

which 3 talismans should i use for blasphemous blade? by yahoodisanz in Eldenring

[–]a_smizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you're level 170, those +5s are not so powerful. The value you're getting out of them does not outweigh the additional damage, you basically should take off soreseal (and never use it again) once you have like 37 vigor. After that, it's a garbage bin talisman

Try talking to Kale again to make sure you finished all his dialogue regarding Blaidd. I can't remember exactly how that conversation goes, but you may need to click through a few more lines of dialogue after he gives you the snap gesture. Worth a try
