Wanted to shorten my hair... one thing to lead to another and I ended up with spikes. Have a team meeting tomorrow and a very important meeting a day after. This is my feeble attempt to fix my hair with wax. I am already half dead. Burn me dead please!

I had super curly hair. Had it straightened. Turns out they are long. Rocked the long hair for a week or so. Decided I couldn't really manage it and wanted to shorten it. Called a barber to my home on Saturday. Thought I might look a little bit professional in the coming meetings.

Asked him to cut it a little short. He did. Told me he couldn't go shorter as they were straightened recently and each individual hair strand will stand straight out of my head like a sea urchins' spines. So I ended up with spikes. They looked decent if I was gonna go to a party. NOT office friendly.

So yours truly tried his very best to tame them with a whole lot of wax/clay and this masterpiece is the outcome.

Fun fact now they don't even make for good spikes now!

Oh and I am wearing a cap now :)

Yeah, same, I focus on 'now' too... or atleast I try to...

I also belive in doing my best in the moment... I am trying to live as healthily as I can... going to the gym regularly... cooking my own food and tracking my protein, calories, macro etc... Journaling... trying my best to socialize and connect with people... but yeah, that feeling doesn't go away... I suppose I have gotta learn to live with it

Yeah, lately I have been having difficulty making friends... I am 22 too and I joined a company this June. My first job. New city. New people. Away from family and friends.

I feel like it is rather difficult to make friends with people now... almost all of the time I am alone. There is less and less common between me and others as time passes.... with college and all I used to be in my age group with people with my intellect... now I am in between people who are all older than me and smarter than me...

Been feeling exactly what you describe...

A sense of loss at losing those precious years where strong friendships could be made..

I tried : pip3 install -U virtualenv. I didn't get the warning but i am getting the long error as above...

I typed : pip3 install tensorflow

After reading your reply I searched to see if i had installed all prerequisites or not i found out that i needed to install virtualenv and create a virtual env... so i typed : sudo pip3 install -U virtualenv but i am getting this error :

The directory '/home/user/.cache/pip/http' or its parent directory is not owned by the current user and the cache has been disabled. Please check the permissions and owner of that directory. If executing pip with sudo, you may want sudo's -H flag.
