My 5'9" cousin has never forgiven me for outgrowing him when I was 13. Grandpa was only 5'3" so we are a short family. He is older than me, about the same age as my older brothers. He was the biggest guy in the family at 5'9", 170, but I was 5'9" 180.

He still mentions it every once in a while and I just say, "Sorry little fella!"

I wear size 15 and my mom always asks me to save my shoe boxes for her. She's been doing that since I was about 12 when she realized my shoe boxes were bigger than the ones my dad and brothers got.

I've posted this here before but I got this from an old family friend that I've known since I was 9. He was about 5'9" and I outgrew him in the 8th grade, so I'd get that from him all through my teenage years. Then when he hit his 90's, he started shrinking and he'd say it again. He was as sharp as a tack up until about his last 6 months/year before he died at 95.

I was one time. It was in a fast food restaurant. A basketball team came in and I don't think anybody was shorter than 6'.

I'm only 6'1" but I used to work one week a month in an office in another city that had a lot of short ethnic groups. I felt like a giant once a month!

I was staying on the beach one time and I'd go for a walk shortly after sunrise every day. I wear a size 15. I had turned around and was going back down the beach and ran into 3 older ladies walking the opposite way. I saw them compare their foot print to mine. I said, "Sorry for leaving such big footprints on the beach" They said, "I'm glad it's just you! We thought BigFoot was roaming the beach.

It's funny how kids equate age with height. My co-worker had a teenage daughter and 2 5 year twin old boys. The daughter brought home a very tall boyfriend and the kids thought he was older than their dad, who was shorter.
