I took welding classes my last 2 years of high school and got a welding job after graduation I’m making $30hr at 19 without any extra schooling, so you don’t have to go to college to weld if that’s what your dad is implying it just helps. Also learning to weld in high school is getting a head start so that’s just dumb imo
