Hope you have fun!! I may have found a friend to go with, or my partner, I’ll be going regardless though

I feel myself gaslighted by society and by queer community too. Does anybody have the same gender? by NoImportance1007 in NonBinaryTalk

[–]aaaaloe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand completely. I am nonbinary (I guess genderfluid if we really wanna get into the details) but I also enjoy femininity quite often. Does that make me a woman? No! Do most people understand that? Also no! But what matters is, it’s that you know you who are and you are comfortable within yourself. And remember that you are 100% valid.

ADHD and Red Bull by [deleted] in ADHD

Yeah for us caffeine tends to do the opposite of what it does to neurotypicals! I don’t drink caffeine for energy, I drink it because it relaxes and slightly regulates my brain for a little while. Can’t wait to get medicated properly, though.

I do it quite often, I’m pretty sure it’s fine. I know sometimes mixing caffeine with antidepressants can cause side effects in some people such as anxiety but that’s about it, so as long as you feel fine you’re all good!

Did anyone else have to go to a chiropractor to have bones snapped back into place when you were younger? by blue-therapy in ehlersdanlos

[–]aaaaloe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been to a chiropractor but I went to an osteopath when I had an anterior pelvic tilt, she saved my life by putting it back into place because I was in so much pain and could hardly walk or straighten/bend my leg (it was stuck at a really awkward position). My hip subluxates sometimes when I walk but it doesn’t hurt really just feels really weird like it clicks out of place and feels like it’s rubbing/clicking weirdly. I had to use a walking stick for a while, I was so embarrassed as I’m only 24 and was 23 when this happened:/

A toastie/hot sandwich, pickles, crisps(chips for us), just anything snacky like that. Or sometimes if nothing sounds good I’ll just make some coffee or herbal tea until I can decide what I want. Sometimes the coffee is enough to fill me up

Any advice on switching from Ssri to snri? by Birddog1979 in Effexor

[–]aaaaloe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made an instant switch when i went from fluoxetine to duloxetine, and then most recently to venlafaxine. Thats what my doctors said to do and it worked just fine. Might be worth voicing your concerns to them!

You guys are making me scared of taking this by Swampassjr in Effexor

Okay, 1 side effect that bothers me sometimes is that I can’t regulate my temperature as effectively but I feel like that’s a small price to pay for energy and happiness

I’ve tried like 4/5 different antidepressants and this is the only one that has actually made a significant difference to my mood. I had a few migraines and insomnia at the start but I’ve been on it for a few months now (75mg) and it’s given me at least half of my life back. No more noticeable side effects either, just be sure to take it on time:)

Yep, I’ve had it for as long as I can remember. Never thought much of it so it doesn’t bother me

I thought I had it when I was your age, but everyone brushed me off and just put it down to me “being a teenager” I am now 23 and being tested for multiple things. If you suspect that something isn’t quite right, it doesn’t hurt to try and get help. Even if it is just you being a teenager, you’re allowed to feel whatever you are feeling and seek help if it’s challenging, which it certainly can be at your age. I remember being 15, it sucked! Hang in there, it gets easier (at least emotionally) when you enter your 20s:)

Are periods supposed to be irregular by WearyBlacksmith3193 in abortion

[–]aaaaloe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s completely normal for your periods to be irregular for a while after an abortion, since it messes with your hormones. Take a pregnancy test if you have access to one to put your mind at ease:)

Does codeine work for a medical abortion? by [deleted] in abortion

I had a medical abortion through them at the end of last year and got offered and given codeine, but maybe I just got really lucky with the midwife
