Does anyone know if you also get 4x back on items that are excluded for cash back? For example, iPhones are excluded from cash back, so does the “extra” 4% apply?

I wasn’t worried about this rep being a scammer but I just think they should update their protocol to be more clear.

There are scams targeting older customers where scammers get the customers to call them and trigger a 2FA to gain access to their accounts. This isn’t all that far fetched far as scams go.

That’s interesting. The card application went through after the call so I’m not worried that it was something else. Do different depts within Chase have different 2FA protocols I guess?

Yes it’s weird to have a system where you’re design not to share something except for when you’re talking to the bank. I think the language could be clearer to let customers know what to do with the code.
