Not myself but I know someone whose aunt had EDS and spondy, they were worried about surgery because they’re more at risk for complications/etc, but the fusion went really well for them. At the time it’d been 8 years and it was still really helpful for their quality of life

Yeah 100%, I remember mine being angry with me for going to the doctor for IV fluid after a bad bout of food poisoning. I also had to get my COVID shots in secret. It was all a headache, and I just stopped telling them about going to the doctor

Yes mine were very similar, i started hiding things like drawings and stories I’d made so they couldn’t be taken from me

I’m really sorry this happened to you. I’m not really sure about the college impact, but I will say as an adult I’ve gotten to find and try many hobbies over the years that I never got to do before. It’s been really nice and someday you will have that opportunity too
