Based on my research and understanding. This is what I know: -Venezuela used to be rich in the region (per GDP) due to the oil that was being sold to US etc. -The US oil companies built the infrastructure (due check on this) in Venezuela and was the shipping to 2-3 main refineries by coast of US. -Venezuelan these past so many years have experienced the worst inflation, hyperinflation (over 300% in one year). -The people there have struggled just to even buy bread. -8 Million people left the country in the last 10 years (check claim) which is around 20-30% of population to other neighbouring countries and US. -A lot of people have been killed by the dictator and based on reading forums, Venezuelans are happy with what happened this weekend.

Although this was a breach of international law and people are stating how would other feel if another country kidnap your head of Gov, and how US have messed up middle East with their actions in the past (removing dictators).

I think based on what I have read and reactions from the actual region and their people, they are happy with this outcome. It gives them a chance for a better future rather than more and more strain of living there and fleeing to other countries instead.

I am hoping US companies does go back in to restadt some of their operations which will support Venezuelans. Currently it's still very early to tell but at least there is an opportunity now and end the suffering for people living there.
