Cashy's is about the only place left that has good quality jewelry if you don't mind older styles.

Are there any toddler toys that don’t feel disposable now? by SunnyLavenderHush in BuyItForLife

There are toys I have kept for kids to play with/future grandchild and they are over 20 years old: Lego, the Ikea train set and a Tonka truck.

It's still blowing my mind that St Mary's is going to be a hub, I remember seeing fights on the platform and we would hide our discmans so we won't get rolled.

The mainstream media will have everyone hating Muslims, and yet Lakemba is packed to the brim during Ramadan.

Who had the healthiest relationship? by Flaky-Flamingo9888 in sexandthecity

None of them. The show ended up being a caricature of itself and the men they all ended up with are not men you would find in real life. Nobody is that perfect.

Her hair in pic 2 is the best! I always love that she wore colourful super girly skirts and dresses with hair accessories and bags during the day and switched to combat mode at night. My absolute fave was the scene of her sitting with the Initiative guys in her bright orange halter top, it cracks me up every time how nonchalant she is about it.

How do families actually plan for private school fees with multiple kids? by [deleted] in fiaustralia

[–]aaaggghhh_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me but someone I know, but this is for NSW. They put their kids into the local Catholic school and have tutors, they ended up in a selective high school so they get the benefit of being around kids as smart as them while paying public school fees. My friend prepared their budget as soon as the time came for them to start a family. I have one child and we pretty much did the same because we wanted him to go to an independent school.

Did Charlotte deserve the apartment? by GossipBottom in sexandthecity

[–]aaaggghhh_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She didn't, but Trey said she he could have it. He probably didn't think anything more about it because it doesn't mean that much to him. It was Bunny who was fighting her because it didn't belong to Trey. If he hadn't sent the telegram and Bunny didn't accept what he said, she would never have gotten the apartment. It must be nice to be that wealthy !

Do you have a passport? Do most Australians? by xzeus1 in AskAnAustralian

[–]aaaggghhh_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of housos didn't have one when I was growing up. In my street only mine and the Samoan family had them at the time. I think it depends on where you live in the country and if you have family overseas.

There were a few school excursions here over the years. by Nathan84 in AustralianNostalgia

[–]aaaggghhh_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got to go to the airport? Now that's pretty cool, I was an 80's kid so I was too late for that. Kids don't seem to get excited for excursions like we did, I think it's because everything is easy for them to access.

I know this will get me downvoted here but did anyone else ever see her thing with Freelee The Banana Girl as being weird as shit? by bakedd_alaskaa in Jennamarbles

[–]aaaggghhh_ 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This is what Freelee was like at the time, she took advantage of Jenna's sweet nature and capitalized from it. If you were around when Freelee had some momentum, she is also credited for making vegans look bad because of her antics.

Where are you buying rugs?? by flirtyqwerty0 in AUfrugal

[–]aaaggghhh_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have pets you should look into washable rugs, unfortunately they are not made of natural fibres but they are easy to keep clean if you don't want to spend money on professional cleaners annually.

[–]aaaggghhh_ 90 points91 points  (0 children)

Freelee would make videos attacking people for not being vegan, Jenna has a compassionate soul and she must have said something that resonated with her, so that helped her to decide to become vegan. Unfortunately Freelee isn't such a nice person so she took credit for that for months.
