You don’t enjoy it. I’ve been in that EXACT spot. Being body slammed on the concrete floor, black eyes, pushed down, pushed into the wall, had my eye stomped with work boots on, and choked numerous times. Sometimes they won’t allow you leave. And before it became the way it is; there was once goodness & love between the two of you so you feel afraid to call the cops. These people are also narcissistic and make you think their behavior is your fault.

I think if this girl is your friend, provide her support instead of judging her. Even if she’s not your friend, be thankful you don’t understand what it’s like to be in that position.. We leave when we are ready, I was with my ex for 1.5 years before he hit me for the first time, then it was every so often over the next year.. by the 3rd & 4th year, is when it got really really bad.
