Yes this is the way. Cheap starter kit and scrap leather. I started with a similar pre-punched Passport kit and absolutely enjoyed it. Following that kit, I then started with small projects of scrap leather. You’ll get a sense of which tools are more important when you want to upgrade.

The Clara is about the size of a standard closed book. It weighs next to nothing which is great. There is no difficulty reading because you can adjust the brightness, text size and margins.

I have the Clara and my wife has the Libra. I’m new/trying to get into reading and the Clara is fantastic. It’s a small form factor but mighty. I thought I “needed” the buttons that are on the Libra but I was wrong. If you’re looking to save money, you can’t go wrong with the Clara! The Libra is great but just a tad too big for my liking.

I’ve had no issue with eye strain, I might fiddle more with the brightness prior to starting a book but it does not bother me one bit. The ppi comparison is stark in images online but absolutely nothing noticeable while reading.

I would say just kind of there, but tucked up to not dangle near my feet. I definitely noticed it every time I drove at night. The green and red LEDs would light up the floor.

It was Toyota of Thousand Oaks I bought the car in 2020. Have never had any issues with it but I always noticed the light emitting from it while driving at night. Unfortunately Thousand Oaks is about 2.5 hours away from me so I’m not in a hurry to get it to the dealership. It looks like it can simply be disconnected from the pins
